Thanks for venting like so. I hope this encourages others to to the same with a constructive attitude, while reinforcing the feeling this is a safe space. May Self entice Self like so.
Here's my take:
I stay hopeful by making peace with my despair - along with whatever parts give it rise. That stokes my Confident and Courage.
What also helps is realizing that whatever human struggles I happen to have, are ultimately a version of a theme, and everyone single person out there is going through their own. That stokes my Connectedness and Compassion.
Understanding that increased awareness of the darkness (our own and others) is scary but ultimately improves my appreciation of the light. This gives me hope, as well. It stokes my Clarity and Curiosity.
Finally, I think of the whole thing as a training program. As in physical exercise. It's not pleasant to begin with, but once we get in the swing it kind of is bearable. And when you start seeing results you start appreciating the process, and you realize that as long as you stick to the tends of the program and do the work... it's impossible to fail, and results will inevitably happen. This angle stokes my Calm and Creativity.
