I only have money for one, which game should I buy?

Haan na
Witcher 3 trust me it's far more better game than dmc
Dmc is good but it's famous for only combat
Witcher 3 will give you a full package
I played both
Have you played Nier automata, what's your opinion comparing the game with those two
If you want good combat dmc is better but witcher 3 has one of the best stories in gaming. Nier is also a good game it has good combat and a very interesting story but ultimately id say witcher 3 bc its a must play also its dlc is one of the best
edit: also nier and witcher 3 has more replayability
Lamo you have to replay nier like a bunch of times to actually finish the game.
both the DLCs are like stand alone games of their own ๐ฅ
I've played all 3 and I'd easily rank nier at top followed by witcher 3 and dmc 5
Nier automata by far if you are into philosophy then even better.
Bhai witcher 3 >>>> nier ~= DMC You must play witcher 3 atleast till the bloody baron story (3rd or 4th main quest) and you will easily realise the league witcher 3 is in.
Witcher 3 has excellent story and writing but really cannot compete with Nier or dmc in combat, especially dmc. I would not say it's in a different league.
True. Combat wise nier and dmc are superior.
Bro needs to see novigrad too.
I couldn't go past the 2 hours mark in the witcher 3, bored me to death.
nier automata is superior.
other games are forgettable or relies heavily on books which it was based.
while nier is pure work of human ingenuity
I would say Witcher 3 > Nier Replicant > Nier Automata
Human ingenuity?๐ , kuch zyada nahi ho raha.
It's true tho. Nier explores the human condition unlike any other game. A game with no humans in it questions perfectly what it means to be human.
Iske liye to YouTube par 6 hrs ke video essay dekhna hota hain, gameplay toh just bullet hell typish hi hain, found in countless other japanese titles.
Nier Automata is somewhere between DMC and Witcher 3. It's got really good combat and a banger story. Go for that if you want.
Witcher 3 has masterful open world and great quests and story but combat sucks.
DMC 5 has a passable story but with banger combat.
nier tops both
Dmc is better than Nier automata.
The DMC5 Combat is FAR better than TW3 tho
But TW3 clears in everything else
What your trophy count on dmc5
Witcher 3 right now is like 180 rupees lol
I am on PlayStation and it's like 2k ๐ญ๐
Bhai, dont buy it at 2k right now. I sell these cds at less than half the cost and the digital version is on sale on ps store once every 2 months or so for like 300 to 400 rupees.
2k is too much for witcher 3
I bought it at like 1400 6 years ago. Maybe check OLX that's where I used to mostly exchange games with other players. You can also but from there in half the price.
Bro if you buy it on pc you will get it for less than 500 rs.
I am pretty sure it was selling for 99rs in some past sale event
Let your motivation show you the way
Hey vergil your portal opening days are over, give me the yamato
If you want it, then you'll have to take it
But you knew that already
Witcher 3 if you want a game that offers more, dmc if you want to finish a game.
What do u mean by finish a game dmc skill ceiling is so high it will take more than witcher 3 (time to beat) to be a god in that game .Witcher 3 combat is ass imo.
What do you mean by this?
Explore the world
Witcher 3, toss your coin to Geralt
Accha gameplay chahiye toh DMC accha stry toh chudail le le.
Kya bola tuuuu
Devil may cry 5 imo it's just plain fun although I would recommend you to buy the witcher 3 rather than devil may cry 5 because when you get the special edition for devil may cry... That's when the game gets REALLY Fun.
Watch gameplay of both games if you want good story with okayish combat witcher 3 . It takes long time to complete it. Dmc 5 is shorter but one of the best combat system in with good replayability
It's upto you really and what kind of games you like. If you want just total combat and no open world and a simple but fun quirky story, go with DMC5.
If you like games which are heavy on story, side quests and just enjoying the vibe of a super long game, go for Witcher 3. Witcher 3 doesn't have nearly as good of a combat system as DMC5 obviously but the story, characters, the world and exploration etc. are all incredible.
Also worth nothing that you'll get your money's worth more from Witcher 3 because it is like 20x longer than DMC5. It took me 150 hours to beat the base game+ dlcs of Witcher 3 and it was incredible and I beat DMC5 in just 8 or so hours. I also went back to play as Vergil and that was also really fun but didn't include any story which is great honestly.
Money's worth is subjective assasins creed is 100 hrs content doesn't mean it's better than god of war or the uncharted games. What you are suggesting is your bias than longer games are more fun which is wrong to say.
I mean for Witcher 3 you don't have to choose between quality or quantity since you get both. That is the reason why it was so well recieved back in the day where it's side quests and choices actually mattered.
You took assassins creed for your example which are just ripoffs of Witcher 3 except done way way worse and you would know it if you've played them. Cdpr took 5-6 years to make Witcher 3 while ubisoft releases a new assassins creed every 1-2 years so anyone can tell which game would have more care and attention put into it honestly.
I agree with whatever you said except the w3s combat could have been better because cdpr are one of the very good AAA gaming studios whose success is well known and rightly deserved. They could have made is fun like dragons dogma nevertheless I must say for its time it was good game all round.
Ubi shareholders I hate them with passion because they are squandering their potential.I mean I hate those games but not the devs .The put the work whatever the higher ups decide .It's just depressing to a studio shoot in its foot for ezio trilogy and pop remakes to far cry 3 and ghost recon wildlands.
Witcher 3 is kind of boring sometimes but dmc5 never gets boring till the story ends, if long term, then witcher 3, if like for weeks/months of great story and combat, surely dmc
Witcher 3 imo
You know what you have to buy.
Witcher 3. Absolutely worth it
W3
Witcher 3
I stopped playing the witcher because my PC couldn't handle it when I got to Novigrad . Haven't picked it up since even though I have a good PC now . But those few hours man... The story is so freaking good
Even though I'm a big DMC fan, I'd still recommend you to buy Witcher 3. DMC5 is purely hack and slash and the best one in its genre, but Witcher 3 literally has everything... From great action gameplay to free roaming to amazing story.
So I think Witcher 3 would be the best choice for now. However do play DMC5, it's a masterpiece in my eyes.
Got witcher 3 complete edition for 166โน on steam a year back
W3 literary goes on sale for as low as 300, including all DLCs. Right now its 170 on steam and 550 with dlc grab it now
Buy the witcher 3 on this sale then dmc on winter sale
Witcher 3, never played dmc but heard it has a high skill curve which feels great when you master it. You could buy deep rock galactic or dying light along with witcher 3 for the price of dmc though.
Witcher 3 ofcourse, Although I am a dmc fan myself but nothing beats the witcher
Witcher 3 , although dmc is also really good but witcher story is just too good to pass on.
Guys I also have a doubt on whether i should get this version that op mentioned or the bundle with 2,3 and the enhanced edition(for a bit cheaper)?????
Yes I'm talking about steam
My recommendation is you skip withcer 1 and 2 and just watch a recap of their stories on youtube as they're kinda boring and outdated, wait for their remakes that'll come within next 2-3 yrs. As for witcher 3, buy the edition that contains both dlcs, it's like 450 rs and trust me, it's the best thing available in the world for that price.
Witcher 3 easily
Dmc is my fav game series, it's incredible. But understand that it will probably cost twice as much as witcher 3.
So, if you want a great RPG experience, story go with witcher 3, it's cheaper too
If you want crazy action and cool characters, go with DMC. But I must say directly jumping into DMC 5 without playing previous ones might feel like a bummer.
Depends on which kind of game you want? If you want action games , go for dmc 5, but if you want a good story, go for witcher 3.
If you want to play one of the best combat focused games ever made, buy DMC5. If you want an amazing world to get lost in, filled with well written and likable characters, a great story, alongside two of the best DLCs ever, get The Witcher 3. Both are masterpieces but for very different reasons.
Steam me to witcher 150 ki hai na wo lelo and dmc5 ka price nahi pata lekin jyada hi hogi wo baad me lelena
Pretty different games, dmc offers the most fluid combat and gameplay while witcher gives you the best story and huge beautiful open world I'd say witcher 3 cause it's cheaper and offers more value for the money but if you're invested into previous dmc games then go for dmc. IMO dmc 5 also has good replayability if you don't just button mash and wanna master the combat.
Buy the one and pirate the other
pirate the other
Very different games. I'd buy Witcher 3, but if "old-school"ish hack and slashes are your fave genre you can't go wrong with DMC5
Ahemm. Go with anything other than witcher and I'll spank you.
Neither
Purchased Witcher 3, 2 days ago and already played 7+ hours, I also work Full time mind you.
Bro depends on how long you want to play the game for. dmc gameplay max 8-10 hrs whereas witcher 3 will take you way too long to finish. So if you have time to game take the witcher 3, by the time u finish maybe you'll have saved up enough for dmc by that time.
Buy witcher 3 and pirate dmc 5
tbh witcher 3 is the better game but it comes for real cheap if both of these games are priced the same i suggest dmc5 and buy witcher 3 when there is a good deal
Witcher 3
Witcher 3 if you are more into lore and builds kind of game.
DMC if you are into stylish combat game.
Both are really awesome games but when compared, content wise, DMC has less to offer. Again depends on your taste.
But as everyone is suggesting, witcher 3, once you get hooked, you will play it for months or maybe years...
witcher 3 ez choice
Dmc for the best hack n slash combat in history, witcher for exploration and shit ton of content.
None. Invest in crypto. [Please don't.]
Looks like I am the only one here who would buy dmc 5 . I mean neither of the games are really bad both are masterpieces. But I would pick dmc because I like it's play style . Sure it's probably much shorter in playtime compared to witcher 3. I guess it depends on your preference, if u want a longer game with a better story go for witcher 3 . If you want better gameplay and graphics go for dmc 5 .
Torrent. 0 rs needed.
Undoubtedly the Witcher.
Sail the high seas gentleman. Save up your treasure for something more valuable.
Go for dmc 5 because combat games are really lacking in single player space whereas story games are everywhere besides witcher gets good after 10 hrs .Dmc finished of at that point.Witcher has great story great quests gigantic expansions size of a another AAA game ok combat awesome exploration good graphics good setting good atmosphere long 200 hrs top tier rpg experience whereas dmc5 has cringe Michal bay story greatest combat in a single player game good setting good atmosphere great graphics easy to run on potato graphics 4 playable characters yada yada so
Story>witcher 3 Combat>dmc5
None is bad just both are poles apart in what those games convey.Depends on your preference tho
On one hand u have a game that won more than 200 awards ....on the other its "random bullshit go" simulator...ur pick now
Depends. Both of these are fundamentally different
Witcher 3 has a better story and an amazing world worth exploring ( will probably take you an ungodly amount of time to finish ). But the combat and general gameplay at times is kinda janky.
DMC 5 on the other hand is purely focussed on action and combat, and the combat is frickin spectacular and stylish. It's story is fun and is honestly pretty good, but is admittedly not as great as Witcher 3's.
DMC 5 is definitely shorter in comparison, but if you can get into it's combat, it has more replay value imo. You're probably going to play Witcher 3 only once unless you really want to try out different story choices and stuff. But if you're not that into combat, then Witcher 3 may be the better option
I'm more of a fan of pure action games so I'd go with DMC 5, but that's just me. Like I said before, both of these are fundamentally different
Witcher anyday
Witcher 3
Guys should i buy rdr2 or witcher 3 can u help me
Witcher 3 all the way. My favorite game ever.
When asking for help choosing between two games, give a little bit of background about what kind of games you like and have played before. It's nearly impossible to make a good suggestion knowing nothing about you. Any suggestion without that is their personal preference which means nothing for you.
DMC 5 without any doubt. You won't regret. Peak combat fr
Both are great but Witcher 3 is better.
Both games have the best to offer in their respective genre.
Witcher 3 has a lot more content than DmC. So if want almost all of your moneys worth, get witcher. You will be playing it for months.
DmC 5 is also a spectacular game and the combat has been perfected to its limit. If you want a more level based linear experience, get this.
Wither 3 hands down
I played dmc. It's relatively short and good combat. But knowing witcher you'll have tons of hours of content. Much better to go for Witcher
Witcher 3 has way more content
I also played witcher 3 in the summer sale for the first time and oh my god, is it any good? I would say no, it is perfect from every complex mechanics to easy to grasp concepts, everything is balanced just perfectly. I just can't describe the experience of playing it, you have to experience it for yourself. And opposed to dmc being at โน577 witcher 3 is only at โน169 until sale
Witcher 3 is a full blown open world rpg, dmc 5 has great gameplay. Buy dmc 5 if you're simple-minded, and witcher 3 if you have time.
How much time do you wanna invest? And how much experience do you have with hack and slash games?? Go for Witcher if open-world, plot and RPG elements are important. Itโs also easier of the two. For complex gameplay mechanics, shorter playtime, considerably higher difficulty and an hilarious, campy over-the-too asthetic go for DMC. Witcher is a deep immersive plot that youโll carry with you for years after. DMC lets you fight demons with a bike, use a katana that splits space and create literal black holes
Doom eternal na ho toh pehle woh lo
As a DMC fan and a hardcore DMC freestyle go for The Witcher 3, DMC is only good for the fights and stunts Witcher 3 is a full package for anyone to play
Nothing will ever come close the legend of the witcher 3, geralt my love
ETS2
Dmc
God of War 2018.
Depends on your taste. I personally love DMC
Dmc 5 easily. Dont listen to all of em. They're stupid ngl
Witcher 3 is the most overrated game in the universe
Deserved.
Both are widely different games. But I am partial towards Devil May Cry.
2 very different games , that's upto to you
Witcher 3. Dmc gets quite repetitive after a while
No hate but besides the story, witcher 3 is also repitive, specially combat.
Yeah the combat does but the witcher has things to do apart from combat unlike dmc
W3. Initial couple of hours of the game is a bit slow but after that it is a hard to put down one. Dmc has great combat mechanics and cool visuals but it's not a must buy
For you
This should be the easiest pick of your life Witcher 3
Witcher 3
Witcher 3
It a very good game with a good story and lot of fights, u will definitely enjoy it. Decisions u made while playing the game also affect the story and has different endings acc to that. Really bro go for it
Witcher 3, you basically get a lot of game for the price. DMC 5 is great, but Witcher 3 is something else. I haven't completed the game yet, and I'm already 250+ hours in because the world is so great, so much to explore, great side quests and little stories here and there.
Witcher 3, and please buy the complete edition. BnW dlc is one of the coolest video game dlcs out there.
Witcher 3 any day
Before buy witcher 3, i hope you played witcher 1 & 2 to know about back story, if yes then I don't know why are you asking
I just watched a 20 minutes recap of witcher 1 and 2 before starting witcher 3 and had no issues in understanding the story and their backgrounds, i played witcher 1 and it felt super duper outdated, i'll play these 2 games when their remakes come out later on.
Fair enough
Witcher 3 ๐ฅต๐ฆ๐ฆ
Witcher 3 is one of those games where either one of two things will happen:
- Youโll hate the mechanics, the sluggish movement and a gloomy world where everyone is dead or dying! Youโll play past the prologue, die a few times, meet bosses way above your level, get spanked and doesnโt understand the combat mechanics, get tired collecting herbs and fucking bottles and think the game is massively overrated and move on with your lifeโฆ
I know it because it happened to me for many years
- Then you try the game again when you have time to kill, try to play it slow, understand what the game is trying to do to you, respects its mechanics and its movement and start exploring the world, meeting the side characters and then youโll realise that 200 hours has gone by and you havenโt even left Velen yet! Fucking magical experience!
Now Iโm in the second camp, after overplaying Skyrim and RDR2 for years, Dragonโs Dogma 2 didnโt scratch my itch, Starfield was fucking shit and Ghost of Tsushima ended too early for me! Tried Witcher 3 again because I never uninstalled it, with the new graphics and new quality of life features like camera changes and alternate movement, Iโm absolutely hooked to this game! Finally, it has lived up to the hype for me!
Hope this makes sense. Try Witcher 3, be patient with it and it absolutely hooks you in like a motherfu****!
I had the same issues so i added a bunch of mods in witcher 3 to give me more freedom like "fast travel from anywhere", "weapons and armor don't break" and "infinite inventory size" and then i loved the game so much. I am starting my 3rd skyrim walkthrough soon (i dropped midway last 2 times) and this time i will add such mods to it as well.
Skyrim and mods are like peanut butter and jam! Absolutely must have!
I mod my Skyrim VR and play it in my Quest 3 and it is the most immersive and satisfying experience Iโve had as a gamer! Highly recommend it!
The Witcher 3. I've played hundreds of games, among which at least 20 are RPGs, and the Witcher 3 is in my opinion the best of them all.
Witcher gives an overall better experience over DMC
I absolutely love DMC for the combat and weapons and characters but Witcher takes the cake
Iโm a huge fan of the dmc series with dante and vergil being my fav characters, but the witcher 3 is just a superior game overall. Not even close.
Witcher 3
Devil may cry feels like a good game BUT ONLY while you are playing it the moment you play a different game you realise that dmc is not good only the combat is fun in dmc and there's a character called v whose combat is shit believe me. You are better off buying witcher 3 or some other game
since when did fun โ good, happen?
V is honestly weird in itself, some people still master him somehow honestly too confusing despite that Dante, Nero and Vergil combat is on a whole another level, DMCV takes every mechanic from the previous games and makes it possible in one and its wild the engine can even handle it
like at the end of the day tho its upto the op on what sort of games they can play, like do they want one short game that they can play anytime possible or a long game that they play once, call it a masterpiece and then not pick it up for a decade
I can't play open world games because, they are too long for me its always high replayability > longer game with almost no replay value other than Nostalgia
Never played witcher 3, so can't comment about its replay value and etc. but that's my take atleast
Exactly it's my take on dmc 5 and it's completely op's choice he asked for opinions I gave mine don't rant about it by asking since when fun=good , you wanna help him leave a comment on his post don't reply to me telling me if my personal taste is bad or not. dmc is bland I said it because I felt it while playing it .simple. I too had enjoyed playing it but compared to witcher I felt dmc5 as bland with the only good thing being the combat, even the exploration bores you up after a while. If you felt something different while playing it then it's your own taste but it's certainly not mine๐๐ป.
Look I am not expert but dmc series relies on combat and since it's inception of dmc, which mind you is older than the witcher series has relied on combat to do the heavy lifting .The story is cringe I accept but the creators knew what game the why going to make.look at all games in action spectacle genre u will see the story is cringe most cases.Which is fine for these types of games they sell regardless of the story. The audience knows it and people buy it regardless.Telling the game is bland is your opinion based on nothing which shows because u could not get the depth of its combat.U just seem like a player who plays games for the story which is good but not crediting a game for what it is made makes u look bad just my take tho.
In no where in my words above I said that the game was bad I said I felt it was bland and by bland I meant repetitive, if you start playing even now look around everything in that game except combat you'll find it utterly repetitive, if there's a blocked path then the entire game has only one single way to clear the obstacle and move forward why not make the exploration a little bit enjoyable ,the combat only last for a few mins rest of the moment you are just exploring to find the way out. And don't mind me but I've already played it through two times. I always play a game twice to see if the effect lasts the second time too and yes it felt really repetitive and this is the reason I said it was bland no matter if a series is old or what if it's only redeeming quality is combat and everything else is boring it's guilty pleasure at that point the same can be said for dragon ball . It's just my personal opinion, what I don't understand is why everyone bombarding me and giving me points to believe their opinion about liking a game that I believe I would not pick up after completing it because it's hollow in a sense other than chaining up combos.
It's simple you don't like the game enough after playing twice which is alright u definitely have the say as it why the game didn't work for you..Its just u didn't understand the game enough it's ok tho.The combat is deep I mean real deep not like any game tho just look at YouTube videos if u think I am wrong . It's repetive because u don't want to learn the combos and weapons and different styles and various other things the game has to offer.Exploration is not a key part of the game because duh this is not an open world game. Its level based which u are right is great but keep in mind the game has always been about the combat so take it how you will.Well playing witcher is also a guilty pleasure it goes both ways .Like u said it's hollow in a sense because u don't like chaining combos because u feel everything should be handed to you. That is why skill comes which I am afraid u know where u are .Regarding bombarding everyone has free reign in commenting u don't like don't comment .It's as easy it is .
Bro I mentioned that I completed every souls game I'm currently playing shadow of erdtree dlc what more proof of skill do you need๐. Even I chained up all those different combos ,even I switched up styles during a move, did every dodge properly without being hit too in a lot of fights for me the game didn't work but everyone has their own tastes. Also even in a level based exploration game exploration can be so much fun I guess you don't play much of these types. Expand your horizons too man๐๐ป
Yup ๐
๐คฃ๐คฃman I didn't ask you if you play elden ring or not
Well I thought you said me expand my horizons ๐
Bro you play Disco Elysium too?? I'm playing it currently, it's certainly different than anything I've tried up until now. Has a lot of reading but it's funny and artistic. Really enjoying my time with this game.
I liked it at the start for the rpg ness have solid 20 hrs also but for (me ) there was too much story with little to nothing combat.Personal biases aside it has the best if not the best writing in gaming genre. One of the greatest rpg with very unique style nothing like it tho which is why it stands 97% steam rating. Its just my monkey brain couldn't handle all the names .But one of my favourites for sure aside from mass effect series or even the witcher series. So yeah play that if u are a bookworm u will love it.
According to what you said you'd say that I felt all the souls game bland but you know what it was different for those games as it's also a game known only for its combat beleive me not everyone who plays a soul's game ever tries to make sense of it's lore , it's combat speaks for itself no matter how many times you pick it. Those souls games are real good stuff they are rich in what they do,if a game focuses only on fighting then that fighting should pose a challenge
Dmc is not hard a game brother itsa stylish game .It's hard because u can't cheese your way by doing same moves all over again. The challenge in dmc is that you the character (v/Vergil/Dante/nero) has to achieve best ranks ie minimal s in all the diffulty( personal choice) to make the game a challenge .If you can't do this then I am afraid u didn't understand what the game was trying to convey which is ok because u didn't get the game.
I did that too bro if I'm playing it a second time and I don't get an S rank in every level then I don't deserve to say that I didn't like the game. But on the contrary I pulled all of those stops and still didn't enjoy it much๐๐ป. It's just my own taste if you like it it's well for you brother
I felt the game too easy you say it's stylish I get that ,you also said you can't cheese it through and I know that too because I too have played it. But to me personally the game was easy maybe this also has a contribution towards me not liking it much
Yeah ur right about that finally u got it.
Witcher 3 for sure
DMC is good but Witcher 3 is just unbeatable
just torrent both of them. add RDR2 to the list as well lol
Witcher 3 , it's a masterpiece
Is this a joke?
Witcher 3, please buy it you won't regret
