Hey! I missed one overall mark for my course requirement. The requirements are 777 for my Chem, maths and physics HL and overall 42 points. I scored all 7 in my HLs, however my overall point is 41. I have emailed them and they said I need to wait until A level result released. Anyone has any replied or been in the same situation? What was the outcome based on your past experienced? I am hoping to get in my dream college😞

I'm taking Molecular Bioengineering, and I also had an offer for Chemical Engineering but rejected it bc I felt like the conditions were too hard to achieve + there was hardly any biology-related modules, which was the main thing I was interested in.
I'm an international student (IB as you probably know) and I do have an unconditional offer (insurance) for Neuroscience at UCL, but Imperial is still my ultimate dream and I really want to get accepted even if they assign me a slightly different course
Ahhhh.. Will pray that both of us will have space in Imperial… were you having issues with the subject requirements or the total points? As mentioned, mine with the overall point, missed one. Anyway, your insurance is also a top uni, unlike mine though. I really hope that I will get in to my dream uni!
I had to get 39 total, 666 HL including Math and Chemistry. I got a 7 in two of my HL's (Chem + Bio), a 6 (English Lang&Lit A), but a 5 in Math, and a 42 in total. I also missed the 6 in Math by one mark which sucks so much, and my remark didn't change the grade either. However, I do have a doctor's note that says I struggled with tendonitis during the exam period and it prevented me from studying enough Math. Not sure if I should email Imperial as a mitigating circumstance since they might think I'm making up excuses after I didn't meet my offer, but I don't know lol.
Ahhh.. narrowly missed! You exceeded the total points, and this is just issue with Maths by 1 mark! If I were you, I wouldnt email to inform about the doctor’s issue… less is more! We have notified them via email, and now we just wait although the the waiting time is killing us badly! I just wonder, for IB students, imperial will look at the subject requirements and total points, however for A level only based on the subjects! Do let me know if you received any reply from imperial. I hope the uni will get earlier on the A level results and able to make decision soon!
My only concern is that my Admissions Officer would just ignore my email, although she did reply to it. The reply simply said that they will have to wait until mid-August so that they can be fair to everyone, which makes me wonder if that means they won't consider the information I gave in my email (i.e. how close I was to the 6 in Math). I also read somewhere that Imperial doesn't accept any missed offers, regardless of how close they were. :(
I read that too and found that was a bit harsh. I wonder if they are not being considerate why must they keep us onhold? They might just rejected us earlier. Does subjects requirements matters or the overall points matters for ib students now? Sigh!

My exams went okay, just a few surprises. I need A+’s in maths and chem and an A in physics. Surprisingly getting the A in physics required more work than the A+ in maths and chem

Not a direct answer to the question, but I've checked my UCAS Hub and the text next to my application used to say "Waiting for confirmation", however today it changed to "Imperial College London is still deciding on your application". Did UCAS simply change the displayed text, or does it mean someone's actually looking at my application? Has this happened to you as well?
