Relevant Info: I served in the military as an intelligence analyst. I am now out and studying full time at a university to get my computer science degree. I landed a job as a software analyst working on a program I used as an intelligence analyst. Just got sec+ certified as it was a requirement for my job. I am totally new to this world of IT.

Questions: - is there anything is the world of IT that I can combine my Intel experience with this current role to stay somewhat in the Intel field?

  • My college requires me to declare a concentration in CS. Options are cybersecurity, intelligence systems, and development. Being new to this world I’m unsure what jobs look like after with these options.

  • due to me being new to the IT world, I have no idea what I should know. I don’t know anything haha! (Passed sec+ first try but still don’t know how) What is some information I should be learning to help me get a general understanding of IT?

Thanks for any help!
