Best beaches in Corfu

Hi, i wonder which are the best beaches in Corfu? Best beaches in my view include light colored sand, not dark and gray one and see-through water, ideally shallow.

Any proposals? Thanks!

PS. I googled this of course but then I look at the beaches on IG and they do not seem nearly as good as what articles suggest. Mind you, I've been in many beaches that actually look great online, in articles, IG posts and real life :)

I found a good place to stay is Agios Georgios Pagon in the north western section of the island. You have Porto Timoni beach to the right and Palaiokastritsa to the left.

I also liked Kanoni beach at Kassiopi, small but nice and a great view towards the Albanian coast.

Hey, I usually book small apartments since I'm mostly outside and don't need a lot of luxury. In Agios Georgios Pagon I stayed at Marianna House which I found to be nice and clean, and the owner even gifted me a bottle of wine. It's a 5-10 min walk to the beach. Can definitely recommend, also has 9.5 on booking.com.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. That is actually exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for. Self catering, nothing fancy but not run down. What is Agios Georgios Pagon like? Is it more resort or town like?

Iirc more town-like. Apparently it's favorable among German people. Several nice restaurants. Fisherman's Cabin on the left side I found particularly good (if you like seafood).

Porto Timoni beach on the right side is nice and picturesque, but rather small and has no amenities. It's a 30 min walk there.

But probably my favourite day on Corfu was taking a boat to Palaiokastritsa in the morning, then visiting the cloister there, then spending the day at the beach. After that having a drink at the La Grotta Bar, then hiking to Angelokastro and enjoying the view, then watching the sunset from the old donkey path and hiking back to Fisherman's Cabin for dinner and the back to Agios Georgios Pagon.
