The news of the last few days has me depressed. We're in the final days of the American experiment in democracy, and I don't expect it to continue much past the end of my lifetime.

Americans are just overall too dumb for our democracy to continue. That’s what we get for having school football coaches teach civics for last 4 decades.

My football coach taught world history, I knew more than he did.

Same at my school. He made damn sure I got the “real” history teacher my second semester, lol. I got the baseball coach as my French teacher, and ended up with the same situation. I wanted to learn, they did not want to teach.
