This is the worst circuit in the game and you cannot change my mind
Forza Horizon 5I had the same ((shudder)) thought...
You mean the village circuit? What's the problem with it? Too much braking and cornering?
Same thought. Not sure why people hated Ambleside Village Circuit, unless they’re thinking of something else. The cross country ones were the worst imo.
I dont think the circuits the problem but rather the way they used it. Its cool in slow low power cars but 90% of the time in seasonals they put fucking hypercars on it. It was so annoying
Sharp 90 degree turns are horrendous, that's why, the road is also way too narrow for the amount of 90 degree turns it has. It is simply not fun to drive on.
I really disagree. It's very technical and more skill-based than tracks with long straights.
There is no room for acceleration and deceleration so I would argue that's one skill that is being taken out of the equation, you don't need to know where to brake to have the optimal speed in a corner. I enjoy tight corners don't get me wrong, even hair pins, just not sharp 90 degree turns on narrow roads. That specific type of turn is disproportionately represented in Forza Horizon and especially ambleside compared to real world tracks.
You have to be American, there’s this thing in Europe called rally cross. Look into it. 😂
Firstly real-world tracks are wider than the streets of Ambleside. Secondly, shitty tracks with tons of strict 90-degree turns are more common in the US.
Real world Tracks are absolutely not wider 😂 have you ever driven on a European B-road? They’re singular lane, just about wide enough for a small hatchback, with trees on either side and get this…. They’re 2 way traffic 😂😂
You’ve definitely never traveled outside of the US or ever watched a rally stage.
We are talking about tracks not normal roads, have you ever seen a track in your life? On TV? Do you know the differences between a track and normal roads and streets? Use google to find out about the difference then come back.
You’ve definitely never traveled outside of the US or ever watched a rally stage.
I am not even American, and I have definitely traveled to several countries, but keep yapping. Watch a rally cross race that you keep talking about, then play Ambleside; if you think the road is just as wide, you need to get your eyes checked. 5 cars can be parked beside each other in a rally cross track; at their tightest, it might be 4; you might be able to fit 3 in Ambleside at its widest. And they have way less 90-degree turns than Ambleside, which has 3 right after each other, each being 20 meters after the other.
But nah man, definitely the same width. Have you never seen a single-lane road? You are definitely American. Stupid Americans can't drive which is why the entire country is made up of highways. There are no dirt roads either it's all highways is it not?
Are you retarded? Rally races aren’t on “tracks. They’re on closed streets 😂😂 oh my god you’re painfully American.

You were saying?
This is Ambleside irl btw… so what was it that you was saying again?
I don't see a race happening on those roads, in fact there isn't one so don't bother looking. Yet again you demonstrate a complete lack of comprehension of anything being said. I would visit a doctor if I were you as your condition is beyond language proficiency. How do you respond to someone saying tracks aren't that narrow in real life with a picture of a normal road that has never been officially sanctioned for a motorsport race?
Since you don't have access to Google apparently let me write it out for you. Track is short for race track, that is a road officially sanctioned for a race to take place. It could be parts of a city sectioned off or purpose built for racing. They are refered to street circuits and closed circuits. Neither of your "epic" responses are street circuits. Absolutely no governing body would pick either of those roads for a street circuit either. Roads that narrow exist but that doesn't mean it's suitable for racing. Go ahead, respond with another image of a random backwater road.
I didnt even remember the name, but I knew… I knew…
That circuit can go straight to hell
Oh God don't even
😂
Ambleside in high hp cars while doing that unbeatable ai multi-player challenge is hell on earth
Just checked that track from YouTube. What's so bad about it?
Forza 5 physics are not good for huge jumps and half the field ends upside-down
Ummm... I was asking about Ambleside, not the track on the video.
It’s been long enough since I played fh4, that I can’t say I remember what that one is like
Cant say im a fan, its not that bad but the final jump before the finish is garbage
I concur. The final jump gives me a landing bug every time, and all the ai just grows wings for some reason and flies over me
Accurate depiction of what I am subjected to (but seriously, even with highest suspension I still lose every ounce of speed and the game thinks i crash)
Those big jumps are one of the biggest reasons why I hate offroad racing in FH5.
I much prefer dirt racing since it uses the rally tracks on the map and doesn't do big jumps
I like dirt racing cuz I absolutely smoke the AI in the corners lol. The fast ones at least. Those sharp turns exiting at 30 mph absolutely fuck me, especially with traction control off.
Handbrake and bury it deep, slap on the power and you'll be sound.
My cars have more power than sense so it's just feathering until I actually get grip haha
Same.
I especially like the ones in the Rally expansion where some of them are completely in the dirt.
As they should be. I still don't understand why so many tracks are something like 75% asphalt.
And then you have the "rallye" tracks asphalt only...
Which i did with a Pagani because fuck it that ain't rallye that's a normal street race
Lots of stage rally is done on paved roads. It isn't just dirt and snow.
agree, unless you mount a gaming rig to a free fall elevator, there's no feel to it.
oh and the campaign with all those silly jumps. If they made a 100% simulation where the vehicle goes splat disintegration/ boom -> hospital/ death screen -> new character/ end of superstar, maybe it would be funny
big jump, such wow. many epics /s
Can be annoying these races. In the seasonal championships against highly skilled driveatars, whenever you launch over the jumps, when you land your car stops dead while your opponents just land an carry on full speed
And they aren't slowed by obstacles like fences & shit while you drop 20mph
Nope. And sometimes they land on top of you, turning your car around yet ‘magically’ keeping going at a rapid pace 😡
I remember when the hot wheels expansion dropped, i had a race where the ai went over 400 km/h because i was at 412 already and i still couldn't catch up...
Sometimes the ai is blatantly cheating.
"Worst circuit in the game" * makes an otherwise perfect first lap *
bruh
If it wasn't fir the last jump and the horrid landing zone it would be really nice but with it? You are spot on, its rubbish.
Especially if you’re driving anything other than a lifted truck (like a rally car), you’re even more screwed
i really just wish the races were long than like 3 minutes...
There was a time when the Goliath, Titan etc. could be part of horizon open playlists. I believe they were removed because people kept complaining about the races taking too long.
Plaza circuit would like a word
It's a close second
Plaza is fine. Cathedral can get in the sea though…
Cathedral can be fun once you get a bit of time into it, plaza is just prop torture on every single corner.
What I don't understand on any of these circuits is a driver can knock a lamppost down with almost no impact on their momentum, but if you're unfortunate enough to have it then land in front of you, it's like driving through treacle!
Tunnel Run joined the chat
It's incredibly inconsistent with how much you slow down on landing from jumps, so yeah I agree, it's terrible.
Cross Country is the worst game mode in the game. Doesn't matter what track it is.
I dread when it's a requirement for the weekly challenge in FH4
Yeah I don't do CC challenges unless that season's 50% prize is a Backstage Pass and then I'll suffer through it
I have so many miles on my Deberti. Love that thing.
It's so good. I did a lot of tuning to mine today since the suspension was way too stiff for my liking
You should try costera
I'm okay with it, for me its the circuit race that has the deep water at the hairpin 2 corners before the finish line & the hot wheels track that says you'd missed a checkpoint if you don't stay all the way to the right
Not as bad as the tunnels course in the town, you need at least rally tires or preferably off-road race tires on this course and feather the throttle.
What's the vehicle name ?
Deberti Tacoma "The Performance Truck"
Should be available in the autoshow
cross country would be a hell of a lot better overall if they had actual, ya know, landscape to route the tracks over, instead with the big flat map they are required to add these silly cartoon ramps to get some exaggerated airtime
All the worst races and stunts are in that blasted town. Hated the last seasonal championship on bmw's in that blasted town
Hard agree. I hate nearly all the cross country courses because of the obscene and farcical jumps, but this one is especially painful.
Eh, you seem to have it under control.
Playing with damage makes it 100% worse.
Everything but the final jump is actually good
I like the circuit all the way until the jump
Haven't played horizons 5 for months, but I already knew which track it was going to be before I even launch the video :')
Skill issue.
I hate cross country in Horizon 5 in general. The AI never seem to brake at all and they seem to lose no speed when going through water and when landing large jumps.
Cathedral circuit
its no FH4 Ambleside...
Its probably the worst in FH5 though yeah. I used to think Cathedral was terrible but that was mostly skill issues
Then again so it is in the case of the Ambleside Circuit.
Seems fine to me?
My 350km/h 959 will eat that shit up
Love that Falken livery
Thank you <3
You handled it pretty well tho
I don't like most of the cross country races. I don't touch any of them unless I have too. So you're not going to get any argument from me.
I agree with you only because I don't like circuits in general. Anyway, I gotta k ow what that truck is, it looks cool
Toyota Tacoma TRD. Listed under deberti design in the autoshow
Alright, thank you
The AI bother me the most in offroad races. They seem absolutely cracked and ignore all bumps, fly through water, dont get slowed down by rocks, fences, etc. Hot Wheels xpac was ruined for me because of that.
Agreed
Looks fun to me what's your problem.
I mean, you did pretty well. What's the problem?
I find this acceptable, for me the worst is the ones that is inside of the Stadium
The NASCAR track? Or the cross country track that goes through the stadium? I love both of those
Don't recall the name tbh, just remember it has some sort of Christmas trees aside
Winter wonderland circuit? Yeah I'm not a fan
It's rough , but I don't hate it.
How do you have so much control over your vehicle? Off road for me is just hoping that the game will give me the angle necessary to make the turn.
You need to anticipate when your car is going to jump and essentially jump drift so you can land in the correct way to maintain speed and prepare for corners
I like how the first couple words tell me to predict the future. I'm onto you, Jedi.
HE KNOWS TOO MUCH
No one's trying to, you're absolutely correct.
All I see is someone who likes to complain….
Just build a nice rally Wrx bro
Agreed
My crown Vic loved this map I was full pedal to the ground most of the time just get better at determining your turn times and treat every Baja as if the ground is wet .
I wish forza was on PS so much better than Gran turismo where cars handle like boats
Any race with jumps that shatter my suspension on my sim rig are absolutely no-go’s. I like sim damage, but these races are wars of attrition against drivatars that don’t seem to have any tire wear or engine damage.
You seemed to handle it pretty well thou
Cathedral literally exists
I fuckin hate racing buggies on this circuit.
Yeah cross country sucks. Rally good, cross country gross (suspension sucks balls).
How about that circuit what is in the city and some of it goes in the tunnels?
A spoiler on a F150 looks so funny.
You definitely handle it better than I do
What truck is that
It looks funny as spectator xD
What car even is that?
This one is tolerable. Have you tried "Tunnel Run" in S1/S2?
Nah, the worst tracks are any tracks that use the tunnels in the city. Bonus negative points if it's a street race bcuz traffic.
I hate the circuit to because of those jumps. If the car is airborne, I am not driving, but just waiting for the car to land so I can resume playing the game.
I actually love this course. Really fun to do with that Mercedes pickup
I hated it the first few times I did it, but eventually I got used to it and it isn't nearly as bad now.
Cross country, in general, is ass in this game. There's no thought behind a majority of the obligatory jumps, too often you lose all momentum to the horrible landings they set you up for.
This is leaps and bounds better than the best hot wheels track
To whatever system that said that the Porsche 911 turbo (the very old one not the new ones) were suitable for this, you suck.
It’s my least favorite course in fh5 for sure
I avoid cross country races
This track has been featured a long time ago bro. I hate the jumps but it's still better than the circuit with the tunnels in the town 😂
why would I change your mind when your right
Absolutely right! I hate that circuit!
Every track that include Guanajoato is the worst
Every cross country circuit fucking sucks, cross country races fill me with rage.
A piece of cake for my Bone Shaker. 😎
That looks 100% better than fecking Ambleside in fh4!
