The minimum age to fly alone without UM service is 12 or 14, depending on the airline. You're fine in that respect. Whether or not you have a traveling companion is inconsequential for a 16 year old.
Also only thing needed is Driver license that’s also Real ID?
You don't even need that since you're 16. Anyone under 18 does not need ID. But if you have it you should use it.

Many airlines will allow children as young as 5 to fly alone when they're using the unaccompanied minor service. Usually that service stops somewhere around 15 years old and it becomes optional until you're 17. So yes, 16 year olds fly solo all the time.
Having someone 18 along makes it even easier because you've got a pal to help figure out stuff with you. Get a letter from your parents stating that they know about your travel and that it's all good. So long as you don't appear to be a minor-at-risk or a runaway then you'll never need the letter, but it's handy for peace of mind.
Everything you need to know about accepted ID is here. Check with your airline too. As you'll see ID isn't a big deal when you're under 18.
