I just beat the final boss of the DLC and all I got was a 10 second cutscene of Miquella saying "Radahn... we'll bang, okay?" Is that it? That's the big climax of the DLC? I just beat 3 demigods in 1, and Miquella shows up for 2 minutes talks about banging his brother and leaves?
I don't understand this sentiment. Souls-borne games have never really had cutscenes outside of the intro and short endings of the base game. Even previous DLC from the series' was basically just end boss and maybe a bit of dialogue saying "hey you did it"
The games really heavily on you doing the research yourself or watching YouTube lore videos
Whats to not understand? OP wants closure in the form of cutscenes. Or...anything more than "you killed him" in bold letters. And you standing there, dumbfounded.
Right but if you've ever played any previous FromSoft souls type game you'd know that's not something they usually give you. Especially in their DLCs. DS1 you kill Manus and then Dusk is just like "hey thanks". DS2 you beat the final bosses and restore a crown that makes you not look hollow. DS3 you beat Gael and give some paint to the painter and they thank you. Bloodborne you kill orphan of kos and get a nightmare slain message.
I wouldn't expect them to suddenly end the DLC with a bombastic cutscene when they've never done so prior
I don't think anyone expected a bombastic cutscene, but a nice conclusion to dlc arc (as addition to the fight itself) would be nice. Like, in ds3 we killed Gael and this will bring a beginning to a new world. In Old Hunters we slew Orphan and lifted a curse from Hunter's nightmare (a dawn instead of that blood-drunken moon-eye is a nice touch). Miquella's cutscene is just nothing new and nothing that could add a flavour to his and Radahn's defeat.
Aiight bro you got it.
I was more confused why the cut scene even existed. The game flat out tells you that Radahn is Miquella's consort, so a 5 second cut scene that tells me something the game already made clear seemed strange. I was wondering if there was more than just that
