What’s a DLC theory you had convinced yourself of for 2 years only to be proven miserably wrong in the last 2 weeks?

I’ll go first - I was very much expecting a boss fight against Miquella & Malenia’s Shadows.

In the base game we fight Ranni & Marika’s Shadows and even Blaidd again as a Baleful Shadow, but we never see the twin prodigies’ shadows, despite them being empyreans.

I had myself convinced we don’t see Malenia’s shadow because she instructed them to protect Miquella instead and both shadows travelled with Miquella to… wherever.

I was seriously expecting a 2v1 bossfight gank against half-human, half-wolf monsters with individual health bars: The Shadow of Miquella & The Shadow of Malenia
