Dandruff

Fish Oil supplements in their food. I also give mine a can of Sardines in Water a couple of times a week, they LOVE them.

His body is not liking the food and you’ll wanna find something that does. Dobies need extra fat in their diet, so fish oil, coconut oil, rendered chicken fat are great to supplement their food with.

Using a quality shampoo when bathing and a good conditioner will go a long way. My boy gets a bath 3x a month due to partner being immunocompromised and needing to keep a clean environment, but I’ve found Buddy Wash Lavender & Mint conditioner to be very good at softening the hair and soothing the skin during a bath. Smells great for days too.

Mine is also 8 months. Really bad dandruff. I’ve tried out salmon oil the last 3 months…doesn’t make much difference.

Switched foods. Tried raw food, salmon food etc. Nothing seems to make a difference!

I wonder is our house very dry or something. Or are his beds affecting his skin

We switched our Red to Merrick salmon and added some fish oil to her food, made a huge difference in a few days.

Eggs and 5ml salmon oil everday helped for us. He has nice shiny coat now.

We switched to using head & shoulders dandruff shampoo on top of the salmon oils. Vet recommended it, no more dandruff and the dog smells amazing!

Change the food add fish oil.

My dobie had a thyroid condition. He was flaky for years, and it drastically improved when he started meds.

That food is garbage, and that is definitely your issue. It's pricey garbage. Feed him Just Food For Dogs—his coat and energy—and everything will be 100% better. I like the chicken and rice recipe for my girl.
