Cody in Unsleeping City is one of my favorite Murph roles

Cody was maybe Murph's finest performance and that's a high bar to clear. He loves playing noble dudes so much but when he lets loose as a chaotic fuck up it's incredible. Was especially funny with Emily having to play a calming presence to Murph's crazy energy since that's the opposite of all of their other interactions across D20 and NADDPOD

Because Murph kinda was one of those guys when he was younger. He knows how to play him be cause he was him.

Cody is my favorite d20 PC of all time. Simply unparalleled hilarious shithead energy. A perfect foil for Ricky, the way the dice humble him? Sublime.

It’s like two sides of the same coin

The great thing about Cody is you kind of want him to fail, but as a result, it’s incredibly funny when he succeeds. For whatever reason, the dice were on his side in season 2. 

One of my favorite things from that fight is when Brennan described the jersey devil punching Cody in the back of the head 🤣🤣🤣

Perhaps Murph's low rolls and Cody's high rolls are just two sides of the same coin.
