How do you get into raids?

I finally received my vital bracelet earlier this week, and I love it. I've managed to find answers to all my questions online except this one: how do you get into a raid? I have raid tickets, but there isn't an option to join one in the VB lab app. Does your Digimon need to be fully evolved to the Ultimate tier for it to become an option? Or is there something else I need to do?

Raids come and go. Basically you have to wait for the next one to start.

Ahh, I see. I just now noticed from the announcements screen on the app that they seem to come out about once a month. That is helpful, thanks!
