I mean that implies that you correctly analysed Dexter is a morally repugnant character. If not, he is not a morally repugnant character that I am defending.
I mean he did kill Rankin, the bathroom guy, who while a dick did not deserve to die. So Dexter is a bad guy, but most of his victims deserved it and the world is better without them.
