As of today, PornHub has officially blocked us y'all...
It's big brother stuff; it's a way to get our names tied to our online activity and tricking the republican base to accept it without question. Normally, they'd be in conspiracy mode, but it's for the children, you see
Republicans, the party of "small government", demanding citizens hand over their personal information to view content. . . Also, as bullshit as this all is (there are better ways to keep children off of porn sites, if that is REALLY our goal), it's been a little frustrating as a woman to see so many men freaking out about PornHub requiring an ID while outlawing abortion got far less attention online in a lot of these Hoosier spaces. I feel like a lot of people (men) do not care about personal freedoms or the potential for, like, Project 2025 until they hear that their wank material is in jeopardy.
My wife and I strongly suspect she has PCOS (as most of her family does) and will run into birth complications. We were furious about that. I’m not losing my fucking wife because a bunch of old losers past their expiration date think they know better than us.
Same thing with this porn situation. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. This whole fucking state is backwards and filled to the brim with conservatives that’d be better off rotting in their beds than having an opinion.
Well just for a little consolation - out of the 52 people that have taken my survey in here so far - Women's Reproductive Rights took the top spot by far in the "Most important issues facing Indiana currently" with 35 choosing it as their "top issue" and 15 choosing it as "Very Important". I was pretty happy to see that. I'm not sure what the gender breakdown is on the survey takers but I have to assume a decent amount of male respondents.
It fucking sucks. I’m getting a VPN for our home but I’m still livid over it. Where I live shouldn’t determine what content I can and cannot see.
Next they’ll be taking away freedom to order off Amazon for selling intimate toys… too bad they have nothing better to do.
Can we not sue Indiana for violating our freedom of association? Or our 4th amendment right to be secure in our homes? I'm honestly not well versed in law so I don't know. It sounds like we could in my interpretation but, I'm no lawyer or expert on constitutional rights
BuT ThE ChIlDrEN!!!!!

Yet every time someone gets put on blast for anything involving minors, it’s a Republican. This law isn’t about protecting anyone from pornography. It’s about establishing identity online and controlling content. Defining “adult content” is up to the state as they see fit, and you can bet they will be putting effort into shutting down or blocking the sites of their competition or stifling the voices of oppressed people.
Don’t think they’ll resort to that? Ask your local conservative what they think of lgbtq people. That’s where the censoring will start.
Yup. You are spot on.
Eh kid- What’s a VPN & how do I use one?
The Indiana law just applies to adult oriented websites right? Do they define adult oriented websites? Could porn hub generate a bunch of pages targeted towards teens about safe sex, and claim the site is not adult oriented? Like breweries serving hot pockets so they can claim theyre a restaurant to sell beer on Sunday.
Love how this has nothing to do with all of the “non-porn” sites that kids have access to with pornographic content on it.
My son watches it on twitter! But ya know, content moderation = bad! 🙄
Thank god VPNs are a thing.
VPN works.
Looks like everyone is moving back to the west coast. Lol
Just because I want everyone to be as creeped out as I am - here's a link to Rokita talking about Porn...🤢
Also, it is in-freaking-sane that our legislators think its ok to require Hoosier's to give out their DL information on any website that it can't personally guarantee the safety of that information. So much Freedom...
