This is on 6/6/2024 I thought I was the only one it one running through DS2 waiting on the Elden ring dlc to drop and it seems someone else is doing the same I have not had my messages rated in YEARS now this week I got 6 messages rated and two of them came in clutch during a boss fight! I was fighting Alia on the bridge in order to stop the winds to get the bone fist and I was under leveled no more flask we both were down to one hit and I get a “your message has been rated heal! So who ever it is running through DS2 right now, Thank you and hope I will leave my name by every fog wall for some jolly cooperation!

I tried to invade it keeps saying can’t find a world to invade but I will keep trying now that I see all these ppl in the game again
Download Blue Acolyte mod, it's saved our game multiplayer. It protects you from hackers and makes it easier to invade.

DS2 Scholar on PC is constantly popping for me. Definitely a dedicated fanbase plus lots of newbies from Elden Ring.
That's me, I thought elden ring to DS2 would be a huge downgrade but it's not bad. Got invade twice today in Eleum Loyce.
I try to rate all the messages i stumble through. Dark Souls II is my favourite FromSoftware game ever, followed by Elden Ring (Dark Souls II-2) and Bloodborne, i don't think i'll ever stop playing it :)
The more I play Elden Ring, the more accurate I've realised it is being Dark Souls II 2. DS2 is criminally underrated and misunderstood
People only get this now. Even so, the thing of DS2 Bad still stays in most of the subreddits. Once, i had a discussion in here with a guy that didn't want to play DS2 and thought it was bad only because of the Mimic's hitbox once you hit it. Bruh. I hate people who belittle the game like that.
Ngl I'd MUCH rather fight a Ds2 mimic then those flying spin kick chase your ass everywhere DS3 mimics🤣. Still remember my first time playing and finding the one under the dragon in lotheric fucking chased my ass baited it to the dragon went down the stairs and then it only got half its health taken out and fucking flying spin kicked me from the top rope and insta killed me 🤣.
Should we mention the fucking dogs? Those just keep hitting you endlessly and don't give you a second to breathe and react. But yeah, no, Dark Souls 2 is liquid shit with bad hitboxes and Dark Souls 3 is the perfect game... com'on.

Sadly, 99% of the messages I read are fake illusionary wall signs.
Nah, theres alot of classics going around. "Liar ahead" or "miscreant" ahead of those illusory wall ones. "Try finger but hole" is a classic, along with "fatty" in places you cant reach. Theres also some just saying "man" or "horse" that sometimes have incredible comedic timing.
As for serious ones, ive also found alot, mostly "try locking on", "try projectile" or "try beating to a pulp" can be really helpful to help players think of alternatives sometimes.
Read the ones that aren’t by a wall maybe? lol also just use the messages incantation it makes a message appear in front of every single illusionary wall, and those messages are all written in a specific way in front of every fake wall. Also you will know because the note will NOT be there if the spell is not active

Just finished up a playthrough yesterday during my "play all the souls" kick before Elden Ring DLC. I had fun but ngl I am glad to be on to Bloodborne.
Beat bloodborne right after platinuming Elden ring. Then I went through sekiro, demon souls remake, ds1, now ds2, trying to beat ds3 before shadow releases
I'm on my first ever play through. Still in the early stages. Discovered DS series this year. Finished DS1 last month.
it’s over I cannot play nothing else for more then 10 minutes before switching back to a souls game. It kinda ruined me for all these other lifeless games
Ngl, might have been me, I suddenly had the urge to play ds2 and have been doing so for the last week. Been rating most of the msg Ive found so far.
Started playing it 2 weeks ago after I finished the other souls games and hesitated so long because of the bad reputation.. I'm still half though it so can't give a full opinion but surprisingly I'm enjoying it alot.. The level design, the human / hollow variation , the agility impactmI even found that its adding an additional challenge to it.. And don't understand why it got that much hate.. Again its maybe too early to judge but so far it's very enjoyable game.
Ngl I haven’t really seen why this one got such a bad rap. My only gripe so far is how easy the actual bosses are compared to their levels
I'm playing through all DS games/souls like from From. DS2 is so much fun. Got to the Ancient Dragon and those dragon knights have no business being so brutal. 1v1 is not bad but 2v1 I'm out. So I figured out(read) they didn't attach and bow if you don't run. I still didn't trust them all the way up.
Anyway, I rate messages all the time if they're good.

Ive been playing too, and yeah theres alot of people playing. Well, not release-date alot of people, but consistent summoning, invading and messages alot of people.
This is counting normal summon signs, red summon signs, bell invaders, sunbros summon signs, rat covenant invasions, etc. Theres also plenty of people helping in the DLC areas that lead to Alonne, Blue Smelter, Frigid Outskirts and the Three Stooges aka the hardest areas in the game.
Yesterday (the day you are mentioning) i connected with at least 7 different people while farming Loyce Souls, and thats with no cross region.
And i think that is amazing, that someone can buy the game for the first time to try it out in 2024, and they can still experience the multiplayer aspect. Most other games would just turn the servers off
Another thing that i do and see other people do is track message ratings to know where players are. If i drop a "ally required ahead, friend?" near a boss and that message gets a rating, i know theres players there, if i drop a summon in that area i will probably get summoned to help. Just sucks having to manually track the ratings on messages to see which one got rated

Bro I just finished ds 2 yesterday its my second from soft ware finished with ds 1 (i want to do all of them) and I will start dark souls 3 today there is news souls player every day and its beautiful I think
I did the same after ER, i went from Demon souls re, to sekiro, ds1, now ds2, after the dlc im running ds3. Goal: platinum everything
It seems a lot of people are playing the game nowadays (me included) in the awaiting for Elden Ring DLC. I already finished it once again, this time getting all the achievements to 100% the game, I helped lots of people with bosses and even got invaded in the meantime, so the game is pretty alive nowadays and I'm happy for it.
Its still pretty active,its just if u get soul memory to fast it makes u think ur alone,its how i felt on my main character till later in game

I just finished it like 3 days ago I got summoned for the first time in like 2 years 😂 I usually leave a sign outside one of the end bosses and I walked away to get a drink and came back and my ass was in someone else's world 😂
