Observed a guy casually walking his dog around the store, no indication of service dog status.
Are dogs allowed in the store? Charlotte, NC location
[Question for Costco Employees]Service animals do not have to wear vests
I'm not sure exactly what you are saying about emotional support animals. The truth is that the ADA does not allow emotional service animals to go places that a service animal is allowed. Emotional support =\= service. Emotional support animals I believe are protected for the purposes of renting only, meaning that you cannot be denied rent for a prescribed emotional support animal.
Emotional support animals are a thing. A potentially ridiculous thing, but very real nonetheless. Tbh if people in the States took care of their dogs like people in Europe, it would be less of an issue. Most emotional support animals I see are because their apartment in the US doesn't allow pets. This is not the case in many EU countries. But people actually train and curb their dogs there.
Emotional support animals are just pets for people who think they’re better than everyone else so their pet deserves a special name
I’ve actually never come into contact with anyone who has an “emotional support” dog in Europe yet. I think it is a more American phenomenon, not a thing outside the US.
Before you start calling people out you need to brush up on ADA.
You might need to as well. You don’t get to just say your animal is an emotional support animal and have it be law.
Also, I’m not bound by the ADA. I can be an asshole to those with fake support dogs. I legit feel like the phonies should be charged if it’s provable as well. I have a buddy with actually ptsd who gets pushback because of people like you.
