A good wholesome interaction, I think it made the garbage man’s day too.
You know its just the little things in life just like this that makes you feel like we might be ok if we just laughed every now and then...
I see what you did there

If only all women think that way…

All the small things, true care, truth brings.
Too bad there's people that make it their life goal to spread hate and suffering everywhere they go
Except the part where everyone with power is only interested in money
Except the part where everyone with power is only interested in money
My app was muted. Even without volume, that dude's smile made his laughter contagious.
And the driver’s too. Route workers love the little interactions with the few memorable stops. And they go out of their way to make that area a great place. It’s infectious.
My niece made sure she said hello to everybody. Every delivery person and every sanitation worker, even the pizza guy. At first they waived and then blew it off. But after a few weeks, then months, then years…
That was the cleanest block around. They all stopped every day. Just to say hi. And everybody knew everyone as a neighborhood. Because of one little girl just saying hi every day.
If only everywhere could be like this. :)
Yeah that’s a tough job. Nothing like bringing a smile to him in a cold rainy day. Nice job on being a good human
Absolutely! He probably talked about it all week, and will always remember ‘that time someone gave him a mini bin to dump’.

Idk why people keep calling him a garbage man
"Garbage Man" is a very British English thing to say. No disrespect meant.
EDIT No it's not. I got mixed up.
no it’s not. we say bin man. the word garbage in general is quite an american thing
That sounds like "rubbish" to me ;)
Why do I find miniatures so adorable? Like… It’s a garbage bin
I love mini everything 😍
Hmm
I need to find a woman who is single and feels this way.
(For a friend, of course.)
Bro women in general love mini things lol I always hear every woman I know get all awwwwww whenever seeing anything miniature, and yes I know you’re referencing to miniature penises and they love that too
Yeah, just making a self-deprecating joke.
I swear most do. Any time I find a miniature anything my gf I grab it for my gf and she's always super excited.
The single part... That gets more difficult to help with.
Ok ok, calm down Brittany
Temu sells a bunch of doll miniatures. I contemplate my entire savings account every time I find myself on that app 😭😭
Bout to be a very popular girl here, Lindsey.
Is there any good subreddits for the people like us who love the tiny things?
Maybe start with r/miniatures and go from there?
Edit: Also check out r/MiniatureArt
r/miniworlds maybe
My dick is pleased to hear that
Lol. Same! They are just so cute! I have a mini beaker and flask that I picked up somewhere. I would love to put together a mini science lab if I can find enough pieces.
I have a bunch of friends that work in labs and one of them took an extra 10mL Erlenmeyer flask to give me because it's the cutest fucking thing we've ever seen lmao, I used it as a vase for a single wild pansy XD
I know right!!! That is the size mine is! They are incredibly adorable! I have a piece of fossilized poop in my beaker lol!
I would love to add a test tube rack and a microscope for sure :)
You can find them on Amazon.
I was hoping to find vintage pieces but that’s good to know! Thanks 😊
Esty is great for this! Just make sure you know what the scale of your mini lab is so all the piece match in relative size to one another! I have a 1:12 mini living room and accidentally bought a 1:6 mini vase to sit on a side table and the vase ended up bigger than the table itself lol
I have this tiny recycling bin and it brings me so much joy
OK but it might be cake
It's ok I am the same. I have no idea why but anything mini is just so cute and adorable to me.
It's gotten to the point where my bf will point something out while we're shopping and ask if I "think it's cute because it's small". Which is almost always a yes lmao.
Can't help it man.. Mini stuff is just so goddamn cute to me
It's a bit of a spillover from our revolutionary instinct to look after mini versions of ourselves.
I was going to say this, mini humans, mini dogs, cats, pigs, recycling bins. Every thing mini is to be taken care of by instinct
I worked as a cook at a bar & grill years ago in Santa Monica Ca. Our owner always invited to trash collectors inside for a free lunch and I got to know these guy pretty well.
I told one that I had wanted to be a garbage man when I was a kid because I thought it looked fun to operate. He let me smash the trash in his truck one day and it was so much fun!! These guys also knew I like vinyl records and would bring me stacks of records people had tossed. They were great guys and hard workers.
When I asked my boss why he bought them lunch whenever they wanted he said “It’s cheaper this way if I ever want to toss something big”. He did once and these guys hauled it away no questions asked.
You treat the people doing the hard and/or dirty work well and it goes a long way. I do construction inspection and a lot of the trades are super friendly with me because I work with them. Going from one end of a jobsite to another and letting them load up in the truck got me free lunch, and we don't speak the same language(I'm working on that). It's funny how people seem to not understand that kindness is a universal language and pays in dividends.
I’m a firm believer in that one.
We used receprocity loooooong before we used currency or even the barter system (which is largely a myth).
That "I owe you one" shit is literally hard-coded into our DNA.
Absolutely agree. Was repairing an elevator at a renovation site. The boss of the glass guys comes up to me and kindly asks if we could haul some window panes up while I'm idle. Of course i did, he was kind and i had time. Saved them a few hours of just carrying these panes up At the end of the day he gave me a can of red bull and 50 bucks, and his phone number. We worked together a few times since then. On the other hand there were the door guys. Boss just stood there watching while his apprentice carried these doors up 5 floors by himself one by one by one. At the end of the day he had the nerve to rudely tell on me for not letting him use the elevator.
I worked with a guy who remodeled bathrooms, been around awhile and charismatic as hell. He knew the trash guys on one route particularly well so when we needed something big dumped we would just drive to their route, find them and dump it in their truck. They even once helped us unload an entire van of contractor sized trash bags full of construction debris. Obviously generous tips were given.
My parents bought a still-to-be-built house in a neighbourhood project in the 90s. During construction he'd go over every week with pastries or beers to shake hands and thank the construction guys.
By the time the house was built, my dad had a bunch of small requests. He wanted the electrical conduits in the walls in different places. He wanted to swap out the cheap bathroom tile the construction company bought for nicer tiles he bought himself. Small things that didn't take much extra work, just attention.
Everyone was happy to help him. Meanwhile some of the other future neighbours had been demanding Karens to the crew and nobody was willing to accommodate them or do more than the bare minimum required.
Treat the people who work for you well, they control the quality of your life.
So your boss was a mafia boss
Ya. We would have to toss away rolled up carpets all the time. Hahaha.
Lol I love this! I work in the industry and actually have that same little trash can on my desk with pens in it. ☺️
i saw one for trash, and one for recycling at micheals
if they're still there next time i go, i'll buy one to toss my yarn scraps into if i'm not close to a trash can
Omg I never thought about that, I cross-stitch and that is brilliant.
We have one in the front office for pens! This was was wholesome!
I have one just like it! I use it as a car trash can. Fits right in the door
It makes me want to get an old school Oscar the Grouch metal can
My dad had one he stored his d&d dice in it was awesome (even worked for wm)
Love “let him back up the truck” hahahah
Well, considering the large size it must have weighed a ton.
It’s always nice to have something simple put a smile on your face during a regular work day. I’m glad he got a chuckle out of that. A very cute interaction.
This definitely made my day. 😂
Exactly, not for this sub.
He has a great sense of humor!
I have a miniature steel Dumpsty dumpster. It sells on Amazon for $195. I bought it at a rummage sale for $1. I love it and store my oatmeal packets in it.
Man, they do little miniature jobsite boxes but they’re at the same price point. I’m jealous.
That's so adorable how he enjoys the joke, the backing up of the truck is the cherry on top

Repost? Who’s posting my OC?
What are you, some_asshat ?
Yes
Oh its not your OC.
If you say so
I made this video you stole it from me for internet points
Okay now that seems like a stretch. Your bio says you’re an African American. The hand holding the can is incredibly white. For the most part that seems like you’re lying to get a one up on OP. Even if they didn’t make it, it doesn’t mean you can just take credit.
Ok
Would have been cool to give it to him.
The "back up the truck" part broke me 🤣🤣🤣
The smile on that lovely man’s face is perfect. I love that you made a positive impact on his day!
On my day… I will never forget it
I really hope it was lovely for you both : )
I need to keep this video around, for when I'm having a real bad day... It reminds me there's so much good left.
That’s the nicest thing I’ve heard of In a while. You rock on internet dude…
He just dumped it. What if that was a giftcard or cash for him?
It was just licorice. Worse than trash
Oh. I thought it was a bloodied rat or something :|
That would be mean.
I just watched the undercover boss episode for this company last night, it's like 7 years old or something. What are the odds?
It took under a minute and made the day a whole lot better for someone who works so hard to help the community.
I miss when pranks were this and not committing felonies
Those were my grandmas ashes in there
Ha. This is great. Where did you end up finding the bin? Or did you 3D print it yourself.
Good sport! Guy has a tough job that gets very little appreciation, and looks like he's living a good life! I'd buy him a beer and hang out! Good on the camera guy for making this happen!
His smile is like a million bucks.
Between this and the frolicking compilation I’m just dying in wholesome abundance
Hehehehehe
That guy has a great smile
He has a BEAUTIFUL smile
Green with envy.
That bin is wheely small
Lol the "hehehe" OP knew he was being cute
Everyone on here praising op and op taking credit is sad af lol
My dude, you forgot the catch bar on that polly cart! That thing will be a pain in the ass to dump with the cart tipper without the catch bar!
Guys aware of safety, “hold on, let him back of the truck”
What’s funny is I remember the context of this. I need to uninstall reddit
What is the context. I’m OP I would like to know
It was a gift
k
I’m not impressed. In fact, It’s a bit rubbish.
Hahahahahaha +1
Should have put human faeces in there
Thats a recycling bin
Nope
It is in my county. Funny how different places use different colours. In West Yorks, it’s black for general, green for recycling and brown for garden waste.
good god he should have called for a team lift!
A good healthy interaction, I think.
What was in the mini can? A dead rat or something?
Licorice
I’m smiling so big right now. 100/10 interaction.
Nice mansions
I flinched at first thinking there were going to be those springy snakes jumping out of the can.
Worse. It was licorice.
I was expecting a Zach king type of.video where the can grew big or there was a ton of garbage..
That was funny! good idea too XD
Made a little guys day !!!!
This is what the world needs more of. Wholesome 😂🙏
I have another one where the tiny trash can has money in it
Bro. You’re amazing 😂
Disposing of the heart of his enemy.
What a great laugh. humanning amongst its goodest
I aim to please
Shoulda put some weed in it
Why would you throw away weed?
What would be funny is a 1/4 scale bin, like maybe 2 feet tall, and it's have wheels on it too.
WM sending a separate invoice of $77 for excess waste collection.....
Hmm, my garbage trucks are automated. No guys hanging off the back
Like robots?
At first I thought that was in the UK...the bin man sounds really English...but you can see from the houses and cars it's not.
“I keep my used needles in there”
Worked fir a company that made those, but full sized ones (360 Litres capacity)
This is so cute lol
😹😹😹
I realized the trash truck didn’t have the thing that lifts the bin but can you imagine this person putting on and have it lifted up? Would be HILARIOUS
Get him a little dump truck
Grandma's Ashes!!!
This is how humans should interact 😁 I bet they both wore a smile for the rest of the day 👍
Shaquille O’Neal has fallen on hard times.
This is an awesome thing to wake up to lol! Thank you Reddit for not traumatizing me first thing in the morning!
Cute!
No you didn't. You aren't OP
Vibe check
I don't get it.... what's inside?
This is so silly.
I love it 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
I expected him to chuck it in 😂
I thought it would have weed inside
OP is chasing the dopamine high from his last post lol
Nice to see the garbage man has a good sense of humor…but did you notice how clean the garbage truck is. So maybe the guys in a goofy mood because his truck is new
When did squidward become a garbage man?
Kakkaakkakak
My mom has one of those in blue (not branded) she uses it to store her dish soap mixed with water by the sink
Garbage men are usually pretty damn cool, I remember as a little kid waiting for the garbage man to come so I could watch him use the compactor. Even had my mom buy him winter gloves for Christmas with my allowance! He was our garbage man for a solid 3-4 years
Awesome way to play along and enjoy the silly @wastemanagement
Super funny! Everybody needs a laugh and their job especially these guys to put themselves risk, picking up our crap
❤️❤️♥️💋
It would’ve been hilarious if a bunch of unrolled condoms fell out.
Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to inform you that before I left for work this morning, I did indeed see the mechanical arm in action
If you go up to Dollar Tree, you can buy these for $1.25.
Stupid, I love it.
Wow your recycling people are cool as shit! I woulda got smacked for bringing that out on trash day…
I’d fill it w weed for my man
Plot twist; there was a tip/present inside
This guy knows the meaning of zero waste.
What was that in there?
Someone throwing out a hanger
