Cleveland’s newest skyline addition (Sherwin-Williams)
Great town for a long weekend in the summer time. Rock Hall is worth a stop as the other comment said, the art museum is legitimately world class, and the west side market is a blast to eat through. Some great outdoor activities with the lake and cuyahoga valley national park right there. Plus a few great neighborhoods/strips for a night of drinks and decent food. Not as much to do as a city like Chicago or New York or whatever, so you’ll likely see most of it in 3 or 4 days though.
Also worth mentioning the Cleveland Orchestra. It’s one of the original “Big Five” American orchestras (NY Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra) and is considered as one of the best symphonies in the world. Classical music runs deep in Cleveland, special shoutout to the Cleveland Institute of Music, one of the world’s leading music conservatories (like Juilliard).
Definitely worth catching a performance, if possible.
How could I forget the orchestras! It’s truly amazing!
As a local, my recommendation if you're thinking about visiting would be to come during the summer and try to time your visit with a festival, sporting event, concert, theater show, or something else that interests you as well.
Plan ahead. There are a ton of hidden gems in Cleveland and a lot of times they aren't very well advertised. It's better to have a plan on things you want to do when you get here, than coming here and just expecting to stumble upon things.
Check out /r/Cleveland and search for some of the previous posts of people who have visited.
Not as an exclusive standalone destination (like NYC or LA) but a nice weekend away especially in summer. A lot of Midwestern cities are fun to explore in that format. You would probably have a good time if you visited!
Yeah, it's a nice city with stuff to see and things to do.
I visited a few years ago and loved it! Art museum is awesome, food is great, rock hall is amazing, some fun and wonky buildings downtown like an old bank-turned food hall, and their symphony punches waaaaaaay above what you’d expect- one of the big 5!
Last year, I reluctantly joined in on a family vacation where instead of getting an airbnb in some typical vacation spot, we went to Cleveland. I was pleasantly surprised. We went to the beach, science museum, Blossom, Little Italy, and some other good spots. I recommend Cleveland as a good low key vacation. Definitely a fun place!
Ive been there a few times, its ok but wouldn't stay there long. It has the rock n roll hall of fame which is worth checking out if you're into that. Also, drive a bit outside the city There's actually some nice nature
The tourism ads are kinda convincing.
I wouldn’t specifically go out there just to see it but if it’s on your way or you’re going out there for something specific like an event sure.

It’s cool how every US city has at least one art deco masterpiece adorning the skyline
agreed, its awesome as hell. Buffalo also has one!
The Memphis one has been vacant for 50 years 😔
There are redevelopment plans as of March ‘23. The building had this weird situation where the original builders leased the land for 100 years instead of buying it. The building and the land it stands on are owned by different entities, which made putting together a redevelopment plan difficult. They had to ride out the complicated ownership situation before doing anything.
Wish we’d have a revival and get some more
Fun times in Cleveland today, Cleveland
I look for this whenever there’s a Cleveland pic posted
Fun fact: The dude that wrote and recorded that song is now a Cleveland news anchor
No shit. Haha
It’s part of the song my guy.
Looks great
One of my favourite US cities. If I worked in healthcare, I’d certainly look into moving there.
The Arcade building is one of my favourite designs ever.
The University Circle area near the Cleveland Clinic is amazing as well. And it’s the second-best hospital in the world.
A very underrated city for sure.
A little more infill and Cleveland will have such an impressive skyline. It already has enough iconic buildings, it just needs some infill and maybe one more tall modern tower.
No longer “both of our buildings”
It’s now “all three of our buildings”
IYKYK
This guy has at least two DUIs

The best skyline east of Seattle
Looks like the song needs an update.
“🎶Come down to Cleveland town everyone, come and look at five of our buildings buildings🎶”
Honest question: is Cleveland worth visiting as a tourist?
