*the actual number of crimes are quite small; there may have been a rise, and that’s concerning, but it is still rare. It is not mainstream like these kind of things in China.
*there’s actually been debate and even comments from leading politicians (from both sides of the aisle in my country) who have condemned the behaviour. There has been just about zero debate about these kind of things in China. China is literally mass interning Chinese people because of their ethnicity and there is zero public debate about it. No one knows about or cares about it.
There is simply no equivalency.
Try looking at the site NextShark. It's not mainstream because your western media don't address it. Trying to downplay it doesn't work here.
*there’s literal laws in those countries that make racial vilification illegal, no such laws exist in China
*your point about media censorship is ridiculous; Western media has extensively covered the phenomenon, Chinese media would likely be banned from covering similar things, there are laws in China that could lead to people reporting on these things to get in trouble with the law. Media in those countries is objectively more transparent and less controlled than Chinese media; it doesn’t mean the situation in those countries is perfect, but it does mean it’s a hell of a lot better than China.

Except they are enforced.
Protection of the rights of minorities is objectively better in those countries.
Pointing out that everything isn’t perfect in irrelevant.
