French selling baguette scented stamps. What would our equivalent scent be?

That weird stale beer smell that pubs have.

You know that smell that drifts through every town with a Lush? The one that clings to your clothes and you can smell from four streets over?

Well it wouldn't be that. It would be the smell of stale beer and piss with a hint of BO that permeates Wetherspoons, bingo halls, and working mens clubs.

It would definitely be a tea and biscuits flavour.

When I lived in York one could buy a booklet with “Yorkshire scents” (the same principle - scratch and sniff). I remember lavender and chocolate (due to the Dales and the Nestle factory respectively). York indeed smelled like chocolate many times ☺️

I'm from Hull so probably the sewer system that's not fit for capacity. I moved away years ago and that smell in the city centre is burned into my nose.

As for rest of UK, only thing that really strikes me would be stale beer smell of a pub.

The Irish post office did a 5 Senses series, bravely staying away from Cabbage and Guinness farts and opting for a much more palatable minty scent.
