.. how about acceptance of anger maybe? Acceptance of anger and a safe release? Acceptance is not the opposite of anger. Acceptance doesn’t have to be “peaceful”.
ETA anger is productive. Anger help awareness of boundaries. Anger is protection. Anger may need to be held on a leash and not roam freely, but it’s not a ‘bad feeling’ that needs to be diminished. Thank you for sharing <3
I agree. I think there’s a narrative that we need to accept things that happened to us. That doesn’t really allow us the tools or the freedom to express anger because they don’t want us to be angry. They want us to “move on.”
Also, idk about anyone else but when I was angry as a kid I was punished in some form - so it’s healing to be angry sometimes!
