Just wait until they start to get older
I worked with kids for a while, this is so true. One time we were playing outside with a bunch of scoops and random outdoor toys and one girl picked up a ball and cup game and was very passionate about how many balls in a row she could get. At first I just thought it was cute but at a certain point I actually got super invested and was rooting her on. Kids bring you a sense of your own childhood wonder back temporarily
Can’t relate, I developed crippling anxiety and existential crises at a very young age. But yes I agree with the sentiment
Execpt when they hit your window with a ball, have been told numerous times, and then continue to do it, but this time with breaking your screen and denting your air conditioner.
Yeah, really heartwarming. Not even their parents give a fuck.
That said, why t f would i ever want to go back to everyone telling me i cant do something?
Y’all gotta stop being such joyless doomers!! Adult life is amazing if you don’t constantly live in the past, enjoy your freedom!!

If you're too stuck in the past, it'll be much harder to appreciate the present
The older I'm getting the more I'm loving my life.
Same. I'm 36 this year and finally have things figured out. Life hasn't been better than it is now.
Suddenly Teenagers getting to drink and smoke with permission from their mothers...
If you would quit staring at children from your dimly lit room you'd probably have a better time as an adult
got older. I feel happier with the freedom to drive to my friends houses and plan hangouts without needing to talk to my parents about it first — getting older is the most liberating thing if you live in a suburban-rural hellhole where the only ways to get to other places are through long, winding backroads or highways

On the flipside, children with crappy childhoods waiting to grow up
This same exact meme with this same message was posted just yesterday...
Being an adult still rocks way harder than being a kid
I enjoy life better at 21 where I can drink and smoke weed whenever I want plus earn money to buy things. Couldn’t afford anything as a child and was bored out of my mind when my peers all had game consoles
Then, they can start enjoying their adulthood. Sure, there are some hard things. But it's way better.
I don't remember my childhood, lol my immediate recall memory begins like halfway through highschool.
So we just staring at kids from our windows now?

My child hood sucks adult life is hopefully gonna be better
Youth is wasted on the young.
On the flip side, watching kids play together seemingly without one worry in the world running up to you and cheerfully saying hello to you melts what I previously thought was a stone cold heart.
