Steve should've walked out on Clare when she blamed him for their parents breaking up. She says her dad is all that she has. Red Flag. Steve is a glutton for punishment.
I literally just watched that ep. He's her door mat.
Her and Janet were similar where they wouldn't put up with Steve's bullshit. The difference is Janet never felt embarrassed to be with him or even treat him like a lesser person. Clare would blame Steve for things he had no involvement with.
They started out kind of funny with their bickering and back and forth jabs, but towards the end Claire was just flat-out mean.
I’m genuinely fascinated by the idea of a show’s creative team sitting down to do their job and saying, “Oh, what if we make this one absolutely awful like half the time? People like core characters that aren’t villains but are still just the worst a lot, right?”
From watching two decades of Greys Anatomy, I’m convinced some people are in very toxic relationships and aren’t aware and write into television as romantic and sexy.
Steve is a schmuck, but that bastard did wind up with Sosna,so can’t feel too sorry for him!
She went all the way left blaming shit on him in season 7. I know they were gearing Clare and Steve to Break up, but Jesus she was out there. Season 6 Clare was not that irrational.
When i originally watched it as a kid, my mom and I loved Claire. During a much later rewatch, we were dismayed by how abusive she is. Janet can be too really.
I really kind of wish he ended up with Kelly. He clearly was still in love with her even by season 10 and they would have been good to each other.
Everyone knows that guy that dated a girl when they were 14 and thinks it was his best relationship ever. Dude thought he hit paydirt before puberty.
lol that’s true. But for Steve, besides Celeste, Kelly kind of was.
Steve/Andrea were end game
Had Andrea still been there, would have totally supported this.
She had a brief moment where she wasn't a crazy b*tch, but definitely brief.
She was mean to him from the start.
She's a grade A bitch most of the time. She must by dynamite in bed cause I can't imagine anyone putting up with her or very long.
Claire's also intelligent and sarcastically funny, which I find very appealing. The sarcasm often covers up some kind of pain.
The last straw was when Steve was sexually harassed during a job interview and when he told Clare she basically called him a fuckup who probably screwed up the interview and lied about it. I was so furious at her on his behalf.
Steve is OG and hilarious, especially in later seasons. But can someone please explain what Clare added to the show? She was by far the worst character. No personality. Not particularly pretty. And seemed to be thrown into the gang and accepted so seamlessly, as if that Bev Hills click would have embraced her with open arms so quick. Laughable.
There are tons of times before that when he should have walked.
In Steve’s defense, Clare is really hot! 😂
How about the time it was Steve’s fault when Clare spilled her drink on the computer?
