You have to set it up, exactly the same as guitar.
Truss rod, saddle height, then intonation.
So if the strings are flat, i should loosen the truss road right? Also what are the dangers?
If the strings are installed correctly and they're flat against the board, it means the truss rod is winning the war against your strings. Strings want to pull your neck forward. The rod makes sure they only do it by a small amount. So, it sounds like the truss rod is doing more than it should. That means back it off a litlte, lefty loosey.
Fixed by loosening the truss rod, thank you!
