So if the strings are flat, i should loosen the truss road right? Also what are the dangers?
Check the curve of the neck. If it's back bowed, loosen the truss rod.
If the saddles are bottomed out that could also make the strings touch the frets.
There are no dangers. As long as you're using the correct tools you can't break anything by loosening the truss rod.
I fixed it by adjusting the truss rod. Also why i’m downvoted just for asking for help?
Lots of people hate that we let people post stuff that is technically covered in the FAQ or is easily searchable.
If the strings are installed correctly and they're flat against the board, it means the truss rod is winning the war against your strings. Strings want to pull your neck forward. The rod makes sure they only do it by a small amount. So, it sounds like the truss rod is doing more than it should. That means back it off a litlte, lefty loosey.
Fixed by loosening the truss rod, thank you!
Getting downvoted over here for making the correct assumption and asking a genuine question. What's up with this sub?
Seems like quite a downvotey sub. I regularly see beginner question posts starting out at 0 instead of 1. I always try to balance it out with an up vote when I can.
Post a picture of the bridge / saddle situation.
Yes..... another one
You probably need a setup but also make sure the strings are sitting on top of the bridge saddles, we have had a lot of people miss that recently on here.
post a picture of the bridge before you do anything at all
You have to set it up, exactly the same as guitar.
Truss rod, saddle height, then intonation.
