Thinking of moving in with my girlfriend but she doesn’t work and it might stay like this as we are looking to start a family and she also doesn’t speak French. My worry is whether we can comfortable live off 1 salary. I just started a new job so I am expecting to receive a salary increase as the years go by. But at the moment I will receive 660€ a month in rental income (as part of the mobility budget, I chose rent instead of the company car). My net income will be 2200 a month.
Realistically I thought we will spend 1300 on a 1 bedroom appartment, 600 a month on food and groceries, another 200 for extras. She can be on my insurance.
Is it realistic to live off one income like this for 2 people in Brussels? We plan to live in Schaarbeek.
