What is that weird smell that you like ?
I feel the same way, probably because it's a smell from my childhood lol--drinking out of the hose on hot summer days, spraying each other with it because we didn't have a pool.
That was my childhood too. We used to turn the water on full burst and it would snake.
I remember liking the smell of Disney VHS cases
The smell of a freshly opened pack of Pokemon cards.
What a flashback! Thanks
Holy shit I immediately smelled this
Shoe store smell
The smell of a freshly opened pack of trading cards. They had a very particular smell to them that I associate with my childhood.
This. Buy a booster pack and just shove the cards against your nose for a few breaths.
With or without gum? Hits different.
gasoline, paint
Would love a gasoline scented candle
Already exists. Just pour some gasoline in a jar and light it.
That is called "Boooom Fragrance" 😂😂😂
Google racing fuel 🕯️ candle..I have 3 of them.
That is the only candle I'd buy. Gasoline. Or tires.
I loved High octane fuel. I used to race when I was younger. Went back to the track and smelling those fumes brought back all kinds of memories.
So glad to see this as the top comment. Spray paint and gasoline are my faves.
Spray paint, gasoline, new tires, hardware stores, tennis balls, and rubbing alcohol
Permanent marker
Sharpie smell is the best
One smell I don't like haha
Do you remember the Sanford metal barreled markers that kind of had a paint thinner/gasoline smell to them? God I love those. I still have some over 15 years old that still work and I love to smell them every once in awhile. 😂
Noxzema.
My pop used to use Noxzema, and I loved the smell of it, I buy it for myself now :)
I’m not a huge reader anymore but I love new book smell.

Oh yeah old book smell is definitely a close second
Paper breaks down into something that's vanilla adjacent, chemically
Came here to say this! As convenient as it is to read a book online there is nothing like the smell of a new actual book!
Payless shoe source- circa 1989
That distinct cheap leather smell.
Polyester and vinyl, more likely, at Payless. But dang, I know that smell, I loved Payless in the 90s
Now that's oddly specific
I would almost hyperventilate smelling in those damn stores.
Old 70’s vacuum cleaners had the same weird thing going on. I don’t know.
the smell of the outdoors when it rains
what are people not understanding? I’ve been told by others before that this is a “weird scent” so which is why i chose to comment it, it’s weird to some people, but i like it, which answers OP’s question, i don’t understanding the confusion
Petrichor
It's very relaxing
Not weird at all 🙂

Change your cabin filters frequently and you'll keep the nice smell
The smell of opening a brand new TDK, Sony, or Maxell blank cassette tape in the 90s. They all had their individual smells. Yes I am old.
Skunk smell out in the country. Smells like summertime to me.
Came here looking for this. It's such a bad smell up close but so good when it's just a hint of it in the air.
Or weed
The smell of soil when you’ve just watered the plants
My dog and his Frito feet.
that's from the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria they carry on their paws! It's also often in their ears so you might notice it there as well. It can also come in lots of other "flavors" but most of them smell like food - I've encountered ones that smell like grapes, corn chips, potatoes, peanut butter, freshly baked bread, apples... occasionally new shoes?
...how many dogs feet are you sniffing?
I love that smell so much. My dog’s feet don’t smell like that for some reason, so I try to sniff random dogs’ feet when their owners aren’t looking.
I've seen this a couple of times here. Never heard of it, but I do have a basset/beagle mix. I'm guessing I should go sniff his paws.
Lmao. This literally me made LOL IRL 😂😅🤣
Go smell his blanket
same. my chihuahua sleeps up by my head and her little frito paws is my coffee smell in the morning
Yes! Basset owner here & I love their houndy funk & frito feet.
smell of sweat sometimes ik its wierd
Same here, honestly, though it depends on the person. Some people stink while others smell attractive with sweat
I think there's a difference between recent sweat that has a musky (pheromone) smell and rancid stale BO.
Somebody makin' soup?
Sweat contain Pheromones. Biologically we attracted to it, even it is wierd.
An old musty basement.
If you were in school in the 1970s and 1980s, the smell of the fluid they used to print handouts was awesome. I forget if it was a “mimeograph” or something else but there was this liquid that made the original ink copy on to pages. If the teacher had just printed them the pages would wet when they handed them out but would dry really quick. And the vapours smelled amazing. Probably terribly carcinogenic but I still would love a whiff of that again.
We called it a ditto machine. That purple ink. And that smell! Yes please. Just one more time!
Yes! Ditto machine! We called it that too.
Play-Doh, just takes me back when I was a kid.

Also drying ceramics clay. An old workshop I used to make at would smell overwhelmingly of it
Those little wet naps. Smells slightly of lemon.
Opening a can of tennis balls
It's the scent of freshly cut grass.
Found out that smell is a chemical response from the grass being cut. Basically that is the smell of grass screaming
What does that say about me that I love the smell of grass screaming.... ?? Lol

Smells like grass, sunshine, corn nuts and happiness
Yes! And when they're deeply asleep or relaxed they let out a cloud of that smell that smells like love and cuddles.
Only clouds my dog lets out do NOT smell like love.
I know there's a name for it, but I can't remember what it's called. When it hasn't rained for a long time, and when it does, the pavement has a specific smell. So wet sidewalk when it hasn't rained in a bit XD
Petrichor?
Women down there
In Australia?
Nothing like the smell of the bush.
Which makes it sad there's so little bushland around these days...
I understand there is a rather successful reforestation movement underway.
I'm a part of it, ironically my bush appears to be on fire...
Damm the pun backfired....

Still wish he would quit though.

Cigarettes. I love second hand smoke. Sometimes when I'm around friends that smoke the smoke gets in my face and they always say sorry and make an effort to blow it away afterwards. Secretly I want to say no please continue but I don't want to look like a weirdo.
Coffee beans!
I am 37 years old. I never have been and never will be a smoker. But I definitely enjoy the smell of cigarettes 😬
Burning coal
The smell you get when it just rained after a couple of warm and dry days.
It's the oils from the plants which is released from the ground during and after the rain.
Most people I know hate that smell but I really like it for some reason.
I love the smell of vinyl. One example is an old pool liner for an above ground pool. Maybe it reminds me of good times with my family back in the day. I don't know. I remember as a young person having an old ripped up piece of liner after we replaced one and liking the way it smelled.
