What will go away with the boomers in the coming decades?
I'm a boomer, and I don't know anybody who pays by check any more.
I guess you’ve never been grocery shopping with my dad.
I guess they are still out there then. I haven't seen anyone writing a check in years. Give your dad a big hug for having the character not to change with the times.
I hug my old man every chance I get.
But he doesn’t even have an ATM card. He still goes to the bank to withdraw cash in person.
He's probably a lot smarter than me. He's not very likely to get his bank account hacked, whereas my debit card number is all over the place. I know everything is supposed to be encrypted and supposedly safe, but it does make me a little nervous.

As someone who works in customer service, billing departments. Online portals are well established now as the new primary way to pay bills. Nobody except boomers mail checks anymore, and cash payments can be handled through ATM-style machines and are more secured that way. Theres going to be so little possibility for something to go wrong with making payment, the idea of needing to speak to someone in the billing department is going to be a thing of the past
This actually makes a lot of sense.
