I never thought of them as muslim countries anyways, Turkey feels like muslim by name only, and Iran is too shirki.
Saudi will soon be on the list. The monarchy is non-Muslims anyways.
I mean it’s pointless to argue when you have your already preconceived notions
How typical of a Madkhali to takfir others but don't like it when pointed out on their own wrongdoings.
Keep defending the "rulers", even if they "commit zina live on TV for 30 mins".
Muslims should be beware of turkey a lot of influencers are tricking gullible muslims in western countries to visit and migrate to turkey. Turkey is portrayed as a muslim country in the media but the recent events have shown that turkey is not a safe country for non Turks and muslims.
My friend was there a couple weeks ago, the hotel had a plumbing issue and blamed my friend for it and asked him to pay, my friend wanted to escalate the situation and go to the cops but they warned him that a new law said to put foreigners in jail until the problem is solved regardless of who’s in the right and wrong.
So yeah the situation is fucked up, tho we’ve been hearing about such instances and safety issues for years now, idc about those who go there willingly and knowingly
but the recent events have shown that turkey is not a safe country for non Turks and muslims.
Non turks okay, but Muslims?
So it's unsafe for 10s of millions of Muslim turks?
Sure, I agree with you but still almost 15 million refugees here. Syrian, Afgan, Paki, Iraki and almost 2.5 million from Africa. And they still try to come Turkey. 490 k people migrate to Turkey in only 2023. The number is offically. Most probably at least 450 k illegally came here. So, 1 million per year. It is so many brother. I wad paying 1 k Turkish lira in 2020 for my rent. I pay 20 k Turkish lira now for the same house. Still it is not easy to find rental house because of the huge migration. I can handle this money but millions of people suffer from this. And if Recep Tayyip Erdoğan insists on hosting refugees I am afraid people get mad more.
no its pretty safe for non-turks and muslims its only dangerous for arabs since we cant tell which one is tourist and which one is refugee-illegal immigrant
Funny thing is after they DO come here by whayever means , the local TURKS themselves hire them on shitty wages to make money off their backs but no one is really ready to look at it this way
Not local türks only Turks who own shops and thats why they want syrians, afghans etc
Comparing Turkey and Iran is very stupid. Overwhelming majority of Turkish people are not enemies of Islam. The problem of Turkish people is that they are extremely racist. They see themselves as superior to other Middle eastern people. The reason for this is Kemalist education. I remember, "One Turk is worth the world" was written on the wall of our primary school, and every morning we would go to classes after chanting "How happy is the one who says I am a Turk". As a recent and vivid example of this: Last night during football match between Turkey and Austria, the guy who scored Turkey's goal opened his hands and said alhamdulillah after the goal. At the end of the match, he made the gray wolf sign, the symbol of the Turkish fascists.
I can easily assure you many regions of Turkey are much more religious than many Arab countries. For example, there is not even a single shop selling alcohol in the district where I was born. If you ask an average Kemalist in Turkey right now, he will say that he is a Muslim and even start talking about Ataturk's so called services to Islam.
Also what made the Turkish people in Anatolia Turkish was that they were Muslims. During the Greek-Turkish population exchange, Orthodox native Turkish speakers in Anatolia were not accepted as Turks and were sent away. They were replaced by native Greek-speaking Cretans who did not speak Turkish. Even the Ataturk knew that islam gave turkish people their identity which later he tried to eradicate.
Ruling party's wrong or deliberate policies serve racism more than ever. And today's racism lead anti islam sentiment.
Turkey and Iran had a similar recent history. In fact many people in Turkey see Iran as alternative bad scenerio of Turkish history. In the past whenever a Turkish leader become too religous, we always see the news title “Is Turkey becoming Iran ?”
No they don't. In 1000 years of old history of Turkey religion or clergy never been rulers or never be the ones who exerted significant influence over ruler. In Ottoman Empire they were constantly changed when they were not complied with ruler. The real reason behind that is there is no organized clerical class or doctrine of imamate in Sunni Islam. There is zero probability that Turkey would be like iran. Actually there is no other country in the world besides vatican and iran that ruled by clergy.
Sana Taha Akyol'un Osmanlı ve İran'da Mezhep ve Devlet isimli muaazam eserini okumanı tavsiye ediyorum.
we never were a muslim country. secular by constution and founding
We are. Explain the existence of "Diyanet" a state institution in a so-called secular country that supports only Sunni Islam with expenses reaching millions of liras. I would like to remind you that Atatürk founded this institution. The state of Republic of Turkey literally sponsored and still sponsoring Sunni Islam.
it was a good try to keep every little cult and sect under control.
Religion was always under control anyway. Whatever the sultans desired, the Shaykh al-Islams would give fatwas for it. So is it now. Nothing changed.
something did change tho. you yourself said it
muslim countries anymore
They haven't been for a really long time, it's not really new. Many foreign Muslims weren't aware of it until recently, that's all.
should Turkey and Iran be expelled from the Umma 🥺🥺🥺?
Sure man, the country that democratically elected erdogan and the country that started an Islamic revolution are not Muslim countries.
Loud minorities don’t represent the entire country. Both populations are much more conservative than ohh so liberal image the media or their liberal groups try to perpetuate.
