What can I expect from buying something like this? I have a 2010 Ford Fusion SEL.
QuestionYou can expect to waste 75 bucks plus tax.
Hell, I'd say that is a guarantee.
I thought it was a bluetooth obd scanner at first bc mine looks exactly like that, but then I read “performance” and was like oh nahh
Hell, I'd say that is a guarantee.
And to add that's the only guarantee the chip comes with.
You can expect to hear snickering from a mechanic when they're plugging in a scan tool.
Lol yep
Gimmick. Does nothing.
I was thinking it is a OBD2 scanner and wondering why people think it’s a waste. Then I saw what it was. It made me laugh.
you can expect gains of up to 150hp as long as you also install a turbo, intake and exhaust, and actually tune it correctly
Don’t forget the K&N stickers
Those alone adds 50hp
Absolutely nothing. If it even has a light on it, it’s probably just a simple circuit board with a few things that’ll make the light blink and possibly make your vehicle not start with it plugged in
You can expect a little light show from the unit when it's plugged in, nothing more.
These along with the anti-EMP kits are there to empty your wallet.
Wasting whatever it costs for it.
Lower gas milage on account of the 20 grams of plastic waste you'd be carrying around.
Jack shit.
If you’re looking to donate money you could always send it my way too! Sorry no those don’t do anything.
Don't bother. those things dont do anything but tie up the OBD port, flash an led, and sometimes drop networks. Theyre scams, just like the ebay 'race chip' that adds 50 hp and 10 mpgs
Total BS. Does absolutely nothing. Keep your money
It actually does do something. It puts money into the pockets of the company that makes it. They then take the money and laugh all the way to the bank before depositing it.
This reminds me of a chip for the Internayional Ford diesel 6.9 and 7.3 engine. I saw a guy who made a chip for the engine . It consisted of a cigarette lighter plug some wire going into a clear box where the wore was connected to a potato chip. When you plugged it in the lighter socket in the truck, it did absolutely nothing. Now, if he was going yo market them could have probably market them some people might have thought it would increase the HP, but he made it as a joke.
A nifty flashing green led.
Just don't. You could spend that same $75 on a tank of higher octane fuel and reap more benefit
Not likely, unless the engine has high enough compression that it's regarding the timing on regular.
For an older car you Can get a remap for 100€, so this is just a waste of money
You can expect nothing, it's a scam. There's nothing that costs $75 that you can plug into an OBD port that will change how your PCM operates.
I took one of these similar things apart a while ago.
Snake oil
Why would you want a “performance chip” for a Ford Fusion?
You can expect a tiny black box to be plugged into your OBD port; and for 75 bucks it should at least have a little light that glows when its plugged in
Normies really be falling for this shit still huh
Nothing will help a Ford sorry.
15% less fuel economy, with MAYBE 2% power gains
OP can expect absolutely zero change to performance or fuel economy because these don't do anything at all. The vast majority of them are literally just an LED. .
I suspect you have fallen for this scam in the past and simply convinced yourself it did something.
