The real way to get Americans to care about transit again: We must make trucks so oversized that they are the size of literal trains and hold roughly 200 people. Put on some off-road train wheels and we are good to go.
I don't think that rural America is anti-technology at all I just believe that their politicians they put in office do not see the long-term benefits of this technology when we have cars.
It’s cost of infrastructure. Do you realize how many miles if tracks would have to be built to service rural areas. The miles per person would be crazy. Then you have train schedules would never work. Most rural area don’t have sewer or fiber internet. Those utilities are more important.
