It would be a massive moment in the show but I don't think the writers would choose to go down this path with Alice, she's too big a character. And I think they will want to show that an alcoholic can turn their life around as encouragement to others.

My guess is George will confess to someone, maybe Emma and she will have the moral dilemma of turning her beloved son in. She won't at first but then maybe see how badly Chris and Martha are affected by Alice living with the guilt and possible jail time. She may have to turn her own son in.

I’ve not listened since the river rescue, I’ve been saving it up because I can’t cope with any more cliffhangers, so my info is out off date.

I’ve been expecting an Alice suicide storyline since the accident. I don’t necessarily think she’ll die, but attempts are coming. The Archers could do it well and it would be great to have a serious mental health story that isn’t miraculously fixed quickly, like Ben’s was.

George will feel guilty once she’s done it and confess to what he did. Emma will try to cover for him. Hopefully it all works out, George gets punished and Alice gets better.

I did a Suicide Awareness and Prevention Course a few years ago and I have been thinking that Alice is going down that route.

Absolutely don't think this will happen. Since Jenny died I think Alice is clearly being set up for a long-term main part. Which presumably means getting back together with Chris and more kids.

There has to be a reason for the involvement of Harry’s mum recently and the conversation with Alice where she said they’d all given up on him and weren’t able to support him any more.

I think suicide is possible but I’m not sure the BBC script writers will go there.

The Archers have tackled 'suicide awareness' storylines fairly frequently. I can only recall the Greg the gamekeeper 'succeeding'. Will came close more recently. Sure there's been a few others...

So, very probably an upcoming part of the Alice storyline, but as to whether she actually makes an attempt, we'll have to see how brutal the scriptwriters are going to be....

It’s the BBC. No one can not want kids and no one can commit suicide. They’re only just allowing for abortions and they had to make that as traumatic as possible.
