Here’s the thing, if a friend overslept and asked for help, any rational adult would help them. But somehow when it’s a kid they “have to be taught a lesson”. There’s no lesson to be learned from not hearing an alarm, it’s pretty normal that teens are deep sleepers and literally don’t hear alarms.
I have full conversations with my 17 year old only for her to have zero memory of me being in her room at all.
I used to have the same "conversations" with my mom. She said I was sitting up and everything, I didn't remember and at the time didn't really believe her. Now, as an adult, I think why would she lie. I'm glad to know it's not just me. I thought maybe there was something wrong with me(I really love my sleep).
