What level of Spanish is IB at your school (how many levels of regular or honors Spanish are available before IB)? I'm going into IB Spanish 3, which is just the 3rd available level of Spanish at my school (I started at level 2 last year after skipping it for grades 9 and 10). We also have levels 4 - 6, which are also IB. Idk how that works, and I probably won't take the exam because a potential credit is not worth the fear of doing it in another language for me. The English IO was horrid enough this year.😬😅
So I took Honors Spanish I (Regular Spanish 1 - 2), and Honors Spanish II (Regular Spanish 3 - 4). I will be going into Spanish SL for IB. I already know I won’t get the highest score on that exam in senior year so I might make up for that with a different class.
Yep, I'm just continuing Spanish bc 2 years is recommended, and the IB status will be a good GPA boost (the first 2 years of Spanish are regular only - no honors available). I heard the class isn't too bad for level 3. I definitely don't want to do the exam, bc while I could either try or just write dumb stuff on the written portion, the spoken part would not go well at all.
I wish I had the choice to not take the exam, I dislike the Spanish class so much
