Isn't the -th suffix only used when there's a third person singular subject ?
It's super archaic to put the {-eth}/{-th} suffix on verbs, yeah. Thats kinda what I was aiming at, jokingly :D
Wait, j somehow misread your comment making myself think the -th was wrong but I was just a bit tired and automatically thought having "I" as a subject would could only be first person singular
It is. The {eth}{th} suffixes are usually just used with 3rd person singular, and "I" isn't that. But again, that was kinda intended on my part :D
But doesn't "who" in that case act like a third person singular ?
Shit right, this time I had a brainfart. Yeah the "it is I who" turns it into a 3rd person singular it-cleft.
Ffs I study that shit I should know that :D
Happens to the best. I think I only got that because my Latin teacher was more interested in teaching linguistics than Latin anyways (well, some basics at least)
