i have no idea. but i expect the 3060 to perform most homelab jobs well enough. i have a couple in my servers and they been working great for the price and power draw.

For $250 you can get up to a used 3060ti either locally or on r/hardwareswap. Check your local facebook marketplace.

Quick question, how useable is shared ram for local text generation models? My work give me access to gpt so havent look into it. With SD its so much slower than vram making it not worth the time at all.

Are you doing anything else with the CPU and RAM? Other than the GPU those specs seem overkill just for SD. Personally I would run a hypervisor, passthrough the 3090 to a SD VM and use the rest of the CPU, RAM, and iGPU resources for other services to make full use of it.

If it's only for 1-5 users Pi 5 does seem doable other than the 8gb of ram. I have quite an over kill setup so trying to gauge mini hardware performance and downgrade later.

Can the Pi 5 handle multiple of those work loads at the same time? I dont have experience with newer Pi but 30+ containers sound impressive, almost mini pcs level

About to sell all my GBBRs soon in the coming months. Loved them when I still play.
