I’m going to be walking around the lake district today and tomorrow and camping overnight. I have packed as late as I’ve ever gone camping. I’m using a 12 L bag and my kit comes to just under 2 kg including the bag. I’m getting my water from wild streams and will be using a filter. I’m getting my food from pubs and Cafes along the way. I’ve attached I’ve attached my Gear spreadsheet because I figured people would be interested to know what I’m packing. a screenshot of my gear spreadsheet because I figured people would be interested to know what I’m packing.
Interesting! If I got the same bivvy as you I could shave a good deal more weight lol. How’s the condensation in that?
I've only used it a couple of times in Summer, but can't say I noticed anything. its got a huge mesh head, would need a tarp or hut for wet weather. https://imgur.com/GyrSaRJ
I’ve been looking into them. I think now for the way I camp it might do better for me than my Sierra Designs Bivi. I’ll keep an eye on eBay see if someone’s selling one. Since I got a DCF tent I don’t use the Bivi in bad weather anymore, it just doesn’t make sense.
Yeah for 650g more I have my xmid pro 2+, poles and pegs which is an easy choice. https://lighterpack.com/r/1x5ao5
XMid is a mighty good tent.
I’ve got a tarptent notch li, a 600g 2 wall tent that can stand up to a decent storm. Love the thing. Lighter than my bivi plus a tarp and so much better in the wind. Did need to get some titan ground anchors for storm nights thoughz
