it looks like a bee of sorts because it's a little fluffy but usually the honey bees here are much larger. I think it may have gotten messed up a little because it's not flying at all, just chillin
Definitely not a carpenter bee. Its a solitary bee of some kind though. Carpenter bees resemble bumblebees a bit
The subfamily Carpenter bees contains four tribes; one tribe contains only one genus genus Xylocopa, (large carpenter bees) which is the one we all know; but there is also tribe Ceratinini (known as “small carpenter bees”) (I find it difficult to distinguish them from sweat bees but I suck at bees). There are two more tribes, and I’ve never seen any of those. I have a lot of small carpenters in my backyard though and they are very small. Hard to believe they are so closely related to Xylocopa.
Your profile 🤌
I don’t get it!? Have I done something wrong? If I have I apologize
Nah it means I like it lol
I think it's a male because it's smaller and lacks a stinger.
Nah this is a different species. You cant see if it has a stinger as most bees and wasps carry the stabby bit inside their abdomens
Ah think I found it

Leafcutter bee
This is not a Megachile, and I don’t think it it is in the Megachilid family at all. I would bet in Andrenid but I find bees tough. Anyway, it’s not the one you selected, sorry!
Hmmm, than I don't know

Carpenter bee, if you look closely you can see it has a little hammer and tape measure.
