It’s been so wet and chilly lately. My peas are the only thing that’s thriving at the moment. I can’t wait to eat them!
Great job!
They look good, but are just too much work for me.
I now grow only snow peas. No shucking, just eating....sometimes they don't make it into the house for the first week or so
These are a variety that you eat entirely, so no shelling needed!
You can harvest them now if you want to cook them in a stir fry, but I think they are best when they are plump and juicy straight off the vine 🤤
I agree, they’re better when they’re plumper. I tasted one and it was good but not quite sweet enough.
I’m growing them for the first time this year! How do I know when to harvest them?
No idea. It’s my first time too! I think when the peas get plump is probably the right time.
Are they snow peas? If so, they're ready now!
I guess we will have to taste test. 😊
I tasted one yesterday. It tasted good, but could have been sweeter.
What variety are they? Looks like a snow pea not a snap
Lucky you!! Mine have yet to flower and I planted seeds in early-mid April when I could work the soil. I'm not too far from Toronto & I'm thinking some cool and miserable weather has put them behind where they usually are by this time of year.
