[caughtoffside] Keep an eye on Milan as the Rossoneri have included Tuchel in their shortlist as Pioli’s successor
Going to get Raheem Sterling to join Milan 😂
Don’t forget Aubameyang, straight from Ligue1.
Please god no
Fucking perfect

Wouldn't it be great if puli could have a coach that sticks around longer than a season. As painful as Milan have been to watch as of late, regarding tactics at least, pioli at least continued to play pulisic when he was in a slump which allows a player to regain form. At Dortmund and Chelsea he had such a short leash while players like Werner and havertz continued to shit the bed and started week in and week out.
If he doesn’t get priority after the season he put up by whoever comes in it’s truly all for naught.
Still blows my mind that there are the amount of Chukwu truthers out there that there are. Insane he gets the love he does for the production he provided. He was ass 80% of his appearances.
I get the desire to see Chuk out wide and Puli at the 10 but the folks calling for Chuk to start over Christian toward the end were ridiculous.
Chukweze is an interesting example of a player who passes the eye test but nothing else.
Chuk is a very exciting waterbug on the ball type of winger, but there's little to no end product from his forays. If I didn't know better, I'd think he's American.
Pulisic may not be as electric on the ball these days, but he is by far the more reliable producer of an end product.
I think this is very well said. It’s so interesting to see Chukwueze forgiven for every failed touch juxtaposed with how tired their fan base got of seeing Musah produce build up brilliance only to fail to do anything with it time after time.
Musah ah, now there's an American attacker. ;) no last ball. Not even sure he has a second to last ball. But holy crap can he dribble in a phone booth.
One day, all the US fanboys will realize the point of attacking is to gasp actually score or produce goals.
Forgetting that he was trained in Arsenal camps and is eligible to play for four countries.
He's been a cap-tied American international for some time. Musah gave up his 4 nation eligibility a long time ago.
Yeah, and then people were pissed that puli fans were quick to criticize chuk, as if for the first few weeks/months we had to deal with “we got him for the marketing, he’ll be a decent backup to chuk”. I swear chuk loses possession like 85% of the time
Pulisic makes lemon out of lemonade. The other doesn’t. Clear distinction. It’s why you continue to play Giroud over a young striker who could get goals but is unreliable and inconsistent. Pullisic has found consistently through goals and assists and an off game here and there should not warrant him being dropped for a player who is just a flash in the pan with nothing much to show for. Pulisic is entering his prime.
I mean, I like seeing both Chuk and Puli on the pitch at the same time tbh.
Don't think he's better than puli, but he certainly wasn't "ass" in the more recent games when both played at the same time.
I’m trying to read back where I said he was ass in his recent performances. I’m not seeming to find it.
Point being a minor uptick in form in rotation minutes does not and should not equal “wHy iS hE NoT StArTiNg hnnnnnnng” which I read every single match thread
I’m one of the bigger Pulisic homers around here but it would be very unfair to call Chuk ass most of the year. Most of his sub appearances were late in matches with Milan just trying to play out leads. Then he scores a huge match winning goal vs Newcastle and immediately goes to Afcon.
I don’t think he deserves to start over Pulisic but I think if Pulisic was in the position he has been in this year, there would be a big uproar here about him starting more.
I don’t agree. I watched almost every match and Chuk got plenty of run to make more of an impact than he did. He averaged 42 minutes/appearance, the 5-10 minute cameo limitation is a myth. 6 goals/assists in 1333 minutes for an average of 1 per 220.
He had a couple moments he stepped up. He had many, many more he was largely ineffective and painful one-footed.
He’s a serviceable pacey threat to inject into the game when the situation suits but I just don’t understand the rabid desire to see more of him
You can’t just look at g/a per minutes for a player used primarily as a sub. He’s subbing into matches where Milan are just looking to hold a lead.
But we’ll just have to agree to disagree because it’s plain to me the last few weeks he is a pretty dangerous winger. Okafor probably deserves more time too.
Welcome to European football.
God I hate that skinny dork
He fails upwards
I think Pulisic will be fine because certainly with the season he’s had there’s no excuse for Tuchel not to start him right?….am I right guys?….pls tell me I’m right.
Even if he starts him, Tuchel has a way of destroying the confidence of his teams. We all saw what he did at Chelsea, then Bayern.
Yah, at right wing back in a 5 at the back formation.
I realize you're being sarcastic but there's nothing about Pulisic's season to make him a lock on a name club like Milan. Puli has had a very nice bounce back season, but there will always be competition from hungry, talented players at this level.
It amazes me how that guy keeps getting good jobs. I will say he's a good cup coach, but he absolutely ruins offensive creativity on any team he coaches.
“That guy” could possibly end up in the championship game after tomorrow.
True. Like I said above, a good cup coach. But burns it all down every place he leaves.
Oh he’s a hoe for sure, but he’s always going to be employed by some big 4 team.
Absolutely. Let's circle back by this time tomorrow - I can't see Madrid losing at home but this UCL has been wild to predict!
Shouldn’t we be rooting for Bayern to win? No way Bayern let him go if they make it to the champions game and win.
I hadn't considered that. But as a BVB fan, that would truly disgust me, hahaa.
That's all we need to set back German football another decade: Bayern wiping out BVB in a final.
Narrator: He did not wind up in the championship game
Shoot me now.
No god no
This would be the funniest thing to happen in the history of American soccer. You can run, Pulisic, but you CAN'T HIDE!!!
Oh no…
Milan has an opportunity to do the funniest thing…
I don’t care for Tuchel’s coaching style because his tactics knows how to get the most out of defenders while those same tactics sabotages the attackers ability to be more effective.
Lol this is tabloid tier garbage and shouldn't be taken seriously.
Lmao, Pulisic can't catch a break.
Now rooting for Bayern to win the Champions League
Tuchel is gone regardless because there was a blowout between him and Bayern’s management.
Remember what Mr. Hallorann said: It's just like pictures in a book, it isn't real.
iiiiiits tommy!
I hope the first thing he does is sell CP
Noooooooooooooooooooo
Pulisic would be, how you say, unhappy at this development.
Terrorism isn't illegal in Italy?
hopefully they're having second thoughts after the semi final lol. Disaster subs that left bayern helpless when real madrid equalized
Nooooooooo!!!!!!!
FFS…
Ahhhh for FUCKS SAKE MAN
We are all obviously balking at this bit I cannot imagine tuchel taking this job. Hes notorious for wanting to spend big money and bring in his own guys. Milan doesn't have big money to spend at all. Also I cannot imagine Tommy tuchel managing a player like Leao
Milan’s supporters are straight up behaving like some entitled little babies. Acting like they should be winning the Scudetto every season is hilarious… Milan finished outside the top 4 in Serie A EVERY SEASON from 2013/14-2019/20. That’s 7 straight!! If the last decade of results were taken into account, there were probably better odds on Milan missing UCL (again) 2 years ago than the odds on them winning the league 😂 they still have a ways to go before they’re back to being considered serious title contenders every season.
Their football hasn’t always been great, or even good, under Pioli this season. But they’ve already surpassed last season’s win, GF and points totals. With 3 match days left they are actually on pace to surpass their goal total from the Scudetto season 2 years ago. The problem is their defense. They have some veteran players that are aging out (Kjaer, Florenzi) and they haven’t had a settled back line all season. CB has been a revolving door. It’s not surprising to me they’ve struggled to find and maintain any sort of consistency on that end of the pitch.
I can’t believe the manner in which the club is caving to the ultras. Could easily see them regressing just as quickly as they progressed over the past 4 seasons. The environment is already toxic and more pressure will prob be heaped on the squad, staff & senior management even under with a new manager. A Tuchel appointment feels like it would be Chelsea v2.0.
Get our boys outta there!
I can’t believe the manner in which the club is caving to the ultras.
That, if true of course, is completely insane. What a way to run a professional sporting club - let potbelly Mario the tire and wheel mechanic pick your next club manager.
Their problem was not going after Motta much earlier. Most of the names being floated now? I would just keep Pioli FFS. And if Tuchel gets the job it will be a god-damned nightmare for players and fans alike.
Personally, I think Pioli should be given the benefit of the doubt. Statistically speaking, he’s one of the most successful managers in the history of the club. He has brought them back to relevance domestically and in Europe. Look at his league finishes in the full seasons he’s been at Milan: 2nd, 1st, 4th & currently in 2nd. The club hasn’t seen that kind of (good) consistency in over a decade.
Not everything Pioli has tried this season has worked, but he has demonstrated enough tactical flexibility in the past to make appropriate adjustments when systems haven’t worked. And he’s not afraid to rely on young players, so it’s not a case of him sticking with the old guard to the overall detriment of the team.
Florenzi may not speak for everyone in the squad, but after the Genoa match he had this to say:
“There are three weeks left and we cannot give up. We must leave the rumours out of Milanello, as we have done in the past. Finishing in second place could be a good season in the end, even if at the beginning, we definitely wanted something else.
We are very close to him [Pioli] in this situation. We know that he has always been our lightning rod, even when we perhaps deserved more criticism than him. The team is with the coach in everything. perhaps he has been a bit too criticised, people quickly forget what was done the day before…”
Tuchel can eat a bag of dicks.
Not Tommy Titles
Bwahahahahaha!
You know...I'm just gonna say it, Pulisic can hide in MLS where Tuchel will never find him.
All serious comments aside, this would be hilarious
