Hey everyone. Super new to turning, but I’m absolutely hooked. Find the entire process, start to finish, to be utterly cathartic.
I have turned a few pens now, and I’m pretty happy with the results. I have seen some beautifully colored pens, and I’m curious how every gets those vibrant colors in the wood. Have seen a few videos, but none of them seem to have great info on the products, just the processes folks use.
I made one today with just a standard barn red gel stain I had, and it looks good, but it’s not that vibrant pop I was hoping for. Any recommendations?
