Father-in-law is coming to visit for the weekend, I feel like all my go tos are outdoors and its gonna be pretty cold. Thanks in advance! :)
Username checks out.
Mother Road Market is pretty unique place to take out-of-towners!
I hear the sinkhole on Riverside is pretty happening these days
Has anybody made tshirts for this one?? My only regret in life is missing the 2018 Sinkhole tshirt
I am also interested in this T-Shirt.
When family visited, we took them to the Dylan museum, and it was a really cool experience!
Coffee at chimera and a walk through greenwood rising or the Dillon museum would be a good day.
We did Dylon and Guthrie center with an older relative and it was like a kid in disneyland.
Guthrie. Woody Guthrie.
Oopsie! Thanks for the correction. My memory is shit and I didn't look it up!
No problem. I assumed it was Siri or something that got it wrong.
they compost
Hodges Bend for breakfast and coffee!
...and an awesome cocktail...
Don’t forget their boxty menu!
Bob Dylan archive.
Copying my comment from a similar request:
Grab a drink at the top of the Mayo Hotel downtown at sunset, just one they are a bit pricey but I love seeing the neon sign come on at dusk.
During the day you can go into the underground tunnels, you will have to Google the location is also downtown under this hotel or something? Ask the door person where the stairs are.
There is a ton of art deco architecture in and around downtown, my mom drives me around talking about it but I'm sure that the internet will have better and more accurate history and facts about them.
The house from the outsiders movie is about downtown as well if you are into seeing it.
The neighborhood north of downtown has some pretty cool views of the skyline.
Of course there is the center of the universe, funky acoustical phenomenon, catch a show at Cain's ballroom if they aren't sold out, it's an old honky tonk music venue and my favorite anywhere. Large park by the river is new and awesome, hike turkey Mt!
I'm on my phone so I'm going to dump some links below, love Tulsa, I'm from a smaller town near there, live in Chicago now and still love that city.

Gathering Place

Underground Tunnels, I think the Phillips family built them with oil money to keep themselves and their family from being kidnapped and held for random. https://www.tulsa.tours/tulsa-tunnel-tour
Circle Cinema
My local Okies feel free to correct me or add!
For Art Deco stuff: Boston Avenue church is considered one of the finest examples of ecclesiastical Art Deco in the world. They are open during the week for self-guided tours. Of old/historical/architectural stuff is of interest, this is a neat free option!
Coney I-Lander
918 Coffee is a must. Very cute environment and great coffee.
Mother Road Market, like someone else said, is a great spot.
Utica Square and Cherry Street have lots of great shops and restaurants as well.
If you're willing to make the drive, Jack of All Games in Broken Arrow has a ton of different games to play that are all indoors.
Utica square. Had a friend from Florida visit the other day and they loved it.
I’m pretty new to Tulsa (two years). Utica Square is my favorite place in nice weather. So pleasant to just stroll.
Eating on the patio of Wild Fork or Stonehorse is pretty awesome (when the weather is nice). Kinda forget where I am sometimes.
Shades of Brown
Or, like any other coffee shop besides this one would be better.
The Gypsy Coffee House has a wonderful hippy vibe. Then stroll over to Living Arts and peruse the newly hung Champagne and Chocolate Show. Then maybe over to Glacier Chocolate for some hot cocoa and artisan chocolates.
Isn’t glacier gone from down there? Still at Utica square.
I thought the bean to bar was still down there on Archer.
I love them I just wish I hadn’t seen cockroaches there…twice
The name of this cafe always deters me 💩, but I had a nice latte there once!
I used to love shades of brown! I recently moved back to tulsa and went back but they didn’t put the espresso in my latte. I got it togo and was already a few minutes away when it cooled off enough for my to realize 😭
Woolaroc is a great one for people who aren’t super familiar with Oklahoma.
Cirque is a cool little place to get a coffee.
As far as local restaurants go, these are usually my go to's when friends come to visit
Shades of Brown is always nice.
Nomad BBQ at 31st & Harvard if that's yalls taste.
Ron's is always worth it even if it greatly increases your blood pressure and chance of heart attack for a few days.
Egg It On Cafe in Broken Arrow is great. The chicken and waffles with their peach hot sauce is my favorite thing there. On the adjacent corner of the same intersection is Jake's Cafe. Both are great local restaurants.
Jake’s is my jam.
Gambill's pastaria, 1911 S Harvard Ave. Pasta made fresh in house. Deliciousness
Celebrate the city founders with a picnic alongside the KLAN TROPHY in OWEN PARK.
While composting?
ABC
Polo Grill at Utica Square would be perfect
Utica square and cherry street
Obviously the center of the universe. Use to b easy to see but it was shown on Tulsa King which would make it cool to see but might b busier.
Philbrook, Bob Dylan and/or Woody Guthrie museum, Mother Road, Buck Atoms, day trip to Pops or OKC.
Philbrook and Tulsa History Museum and then lunch at Mother Road.
Not the center of the universe
ORU Prayer Tower-it looked like The Jetsons since 1968!
Shades of Brown Coffee! It’s perfect!
The aquarium in J Ennis is climate controlled.
Center of the Universe
A tour of the local breweries.
Dantes Woodfire & Heirloom Rustic Ales
If he likes coffee 100% go to notion!
Black Wall Street
It depends on things he likes to do, of course, but there’s The Philbrook if he likes museums, Shades of Brown if he enjoys coffee, Decopolis or Idared for funky tchotchkes, and Antoinette Baking Co. for tasty treats. There are also some gorgeous scenic drives around Sand Springs/the Keystone Lake area if that’s his thing.

If he's a music fan... besides Dylan and Guthrie museums... the Church Studio
