ive heard so many good things about Spain
Love Spain, particularly the south
Didn't see any of this in Toledo OH
Any small town in Spain packs in more charm than the entire state of Ohio.
But do people living in Toledo, know that their name doesn’t travel very well?
You've never been to Toledo, OH.
It took many photos to realize I've been there before lol. Specifically, the castle looking thing. Nice place, unfortunately my broke ass can never afford to go back.
How many days was the trip? How long did you spend in Toledo? Would you have added more time after the fact? Pictures look great
Thanks! It was just an 8-hour day trip from Madrid. I would definitely have added more time if I could, you can visit the main sites in 8 hours or less but it felt a little hushed since we never got to stay in one place for more than a few minutes to actually appreciate it. Also the city is very hilly so you’ll take longer than usual to walk around.
do you just walk from the train station into the city center?
I spent 3 days there and wish I had alloted a whole week for it, I really enjoyed the vibe as well. So much history and fun facts to learn about the city, and even just walking and stopping for churros now and then was great.
I've been to Toledo, it's a day trip from Madrid mostly. The city is small and can be covered calmly in a day.
Holy!
I got you
I'm going to Spain in a week and will be happy to visit this place.

Imperial city and capital of Spain until Felipe II decided to move it to Madrid
It was the capital for just 50 years and during the visigoth period
Nope. Was the de facto residence of the court of the Catholic kings since the end of the 15th century, Charles I (V of Germany) officially designated it as the imperial capital and it was his son, Philip II who decided to move the court to Madrid in 1561.
The court moved a lot and it was mostly in Tordesillas not Toledo.
- Toledo was the capital of the Visigothic Kingdom between 555 and 567 A.D., during the reign of Atanagild.
- In 1519, Charles I declared Toledo the capital of Spain, a role it retained until 1561 when Philip II moved the Court to Madrid for its more central and strategic location (and because it was close to the king's favorite hunting grounds, according to the apocryphal legend).
- The Catholic Monarchs, Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon, commissioned the construction of the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes in Toledo in 1477 as a royal pantheon and spiritual retreat.
Why so stubborn?
Cause it was not the capital, why are you so stubborn? only during charles and visi.
Almost the entire autonomous community of Castilla la Mancha is really beautiful, Toledo is a good vibe
Amazing town, literally a time travel.
My half brother is getting married there next year. Never been, can't wait.
The town of fine steel crafts. Thanks for the photos
Looks Like blasphemous game
Only spent a day here and want to go back for more and to get one of them swords and look for the six-fingered man who killed my father.
All of Spain has a very good vibe
One of my favorite travel memories was spending the day wandering around Toledo. I had these beautiful moments where no one was around and it felt like I had time traveled back to the 1500’s!
Yes!!! I regret only day tripping from Madrid and not spending a few nights here.
LOVE Toledo, the landscape makes you feel like you’re walking around inside a renaissance painting
Before die I wanna travel this place It's really awesome 👏Bro
Underrated? I don't think so, it's the second most visited country in the world
I really like the fourth pic!! They're all beautifully taken! It seems like Spain has a lot of beautiful scenery, and the food looks delicious too.
