We are planning a 10 day trip to France and Italy in April next year (Long way away but we like to kickstart planning early 😊). We are landing in Paris and haven’t yet decided where we will be flying back from – Florence is tentatively our choice for now. We will have 2 4-year olds with us.
What would be a good itinerary?
Here’s what we have tentatively planned:
- First 5 days in France:
- 2 days – Paris and surrounding
- Train to Mont Saint-Michel
- 1 day in MSM
- We don’t know how to plan next 2 days in France
- Next 5 days in Italy
- Amalfi coast 2 days
- Rome 2 days
- Florence 1 day – flight back from Florence
We need inputs in planning the France itinerary better and have some outstanding questions –
- We are thinking for taking Train to travel inside France, flight from France to Amalfi
- Rent a car in Italy to visit Amalfi, Rome and Florence
- Explore cities on foot/ public transport – use car only for inter-city transportation
- Is this too hectic? Especially with 2 4-year olds?
I would love to get recommendations here.
