As Tzeentch, my units are all pretty squishy and relatively low-ranged. I get outshot by Cathay, my melee melts under sustained fire and I'm usually outnumbered. Any advice?
How to fight in cities and settlements as Tzeentch?
Warhammer IIIThat's all well and good, but Kairos can only do so much when you're facing multiple crossbows all firing from different locations plus towers.
Shoot the towers or swarm them with fliers. Use the magic on backline archer blobs and charge them with fliers.
In sieges Kairos definitely has to carry the battle. His gate spell typically wipes out a unit of infantry if they take all the damage from it. You will also need forsaken to help you push and capture the points to eliminate towers from respawing. Also doom knights are amazing at instakilling units that are hanging out on walls by charging them off the tower and are also useful for picking off isolated missle units
More forsaken does seem like a good idea. They're just more expensive conpared to blue horrors and my econmy is pretty crap.
Somehow Forsaken went to being one of the most terrible units in the WoC roster to being one of the absolute best units in Tzeentch's army. They routinely rack up tons of kills every battle, way more on average than Horrors.
From playing Daniel while spamming mostly blue horrors for 50-60 turns:
Either abuse magic and summons to nuke the living crap out of infantry.
Or alternatively move forward into a position where only few enemies can shoot at you, shoot back, pull the ones back that loose their barrier, cycle through your troops that way.
Especially pink horrors shouldn't have much trouble trading that way if you're willing to pay extra for them. Furies do fine vs most archers and can help destroy towers, but against deep archer formations bringing them in can cause them to take a lot of losses, so this is more of a cleanup crew/final push thing in sieges.
