i reckon gabriel, aaron and tyreese are three of the most under appreciated.
Arab? The guy who liked Tara?
That’s dale
Hi queen

Cat Rosita is doing awesome, im not doing to well but im managing
I wish u strength and love and I want u 2 know I always care and u can message me any time my friend
Thanks :3
Yes
Definitely Ezekiel!! Aaron is a good one too but Tyreese and Gabriel get plenty of love on this sub
Aaron and to some degree Ezequiel, he was pretty interesting and a good character
I love Ezekiel later on but he was so annoying in S8
.... and yet I smile
Cyborg
Night begins to shine 🎶
Aqualad when he’s doing the regal voice too
I mean someone has to be positive when everyone else is depressed lol.
Bro I loved season 8 Ezekiel 😭
Aaron came out of his shell once he got that fancy arm.
He became one of my favourites later on. Absolute beast.
Haven't watched the show in a while, but I would say Aaron
Eugene, he is basically the secret protagonist of the series. His actions made more affect on the story and the world than any other character
I like this one a lot. Never thought of it that way but he does indeed essentially steer huge arcs.
I wouldn't say ANY other character but def top 5 most important character
made more affect than any other character.
I like Eugene. But this logic is faulty. It’s like saying Glenn affected the most because with him there’s no rick.
Or carol singlehandedly saved the entire group so without her there’s no one, including Eugene.
I think you can say this about a couple of characters. But yes, Eugene is a great character.
True. He’s the whole reason they ended up in Virginia and Alexandria. If they’d never met him they’d probably still be in Georgia somewhere. Who knows if they would have found somewhere to live, or if they would have slowly all died on the road.
Then also he was the one who ended the Saviours war, he was the one who found the Commonwealth. Definitely with you on this one!
It was actually Noah who got them to Virginia because the Eugene lie was already exposed while they were still in Georgia, but once they got to Virginia they decided to check DC anyways. I guess Eugene was still the reason that the DC idea was on the table so credit to him also, and this is also due to the show doing all the road to DC arcs while still in Georgia for some reason, in the comics the group never got split up for as long as they did in the show and they used that time to do comic arcs and also show original stuff as well.
I think I remember Michonne saying to Rick that even though Eugene was lying, he might be right about DC and they should go and check it out, so that’s why they ended up going that way. I think Noah’s place was just a potential stop there, not the whole reason they were going.
He was also the one who deduced that Lance was vying for power, his actions lead to Sebastian's death which caused Pamela to become significantly more draconican and his trial is what turned the Commonwealth citizens against its leadership.
Yeah, he pretty much singlehandedly ended the war with the saviors.
I’m bothered i never thought of it this way. Well put
Abraham
His death was overshadowed by Glenn's, he really was a great character
Was way more impacted by Abrahams death
I think the inverse is true
Eugene. Hes been in the show since season four and has been a huge character since. Hes been really relevant in basically every season hes in. Yet no one really talks about him.
I'd guess its because he isn't conventionally attractive or doesn't do big flashy fights.
For me he's just annoyingly stupid for such a smart character
Milton Mamet (Woodbury's Researcher/Scientist)
Bro please I want to know your reasoning. This is such an interesting candidate
Well he displayed quite the admirable qualities throughout Season 3 of the show but got close to 0 credit for it. For example when he burned the pit of walkers The Governor was planning to use on Rick and Co. That time when he purposely dropped the tool box and left pliers for Andrea to break free with, and in that same scene when The Governor forced Milton to kill Andrea but instead he lunged back at him trying to put an end to the madness that he's created. Also let's not neglect the fact that he was a brilliant scientist who was able to create very useful things, like that vest that protected him against walker bites. That and many other examples can be given about him, it would've been really cool if he was recruited by Rick in the season 3 Finale. Making him his Scientist/Researcher. Such a wasted opportunity by the team behind the show.
Woah I totally agree. I think he could have developed similarly to how Eugene developed! I love your ideas
Thank you so much. It's nice to share my thoughts with others. Which character would you have picked?
I think having someone to share your thoughts with is so important. Especially someone that is receptive to them, it makes me feel just a little more validated in that area. I would choose Eugene for the same reasons you chose Milton. Eugene knows lots of valuable information when it comes to science, mechanical engineering, and just common book smarts. He’s a well rounded, smart, and logical man who has enough sense to know when he should or shouldn’t do something. He can also read people very well and he’s able to pick up on people beliefs and emotions. Which he can manipulate in ways that go unnoticed by others. Lastly, as he developed, he turned into a real people person and became a valuable member of the social and political community. (:
I like Eugene too. I like how inventive and resourceful he can be, especially when he sabotages The Savior's guns. Though I can't help but feel like some of Eugene's characteristics could've been presented better. Like for example when he revealed to everyone that he's not an actual scientist, instead of saying "I am smarter than you." He could've at the very least apologized and expressed some sort of remorse about the people that died trying to get him to Washington DC. But overall, pretty ok character.
Yeah I also hated how he did that but I think it has something to do with the fact that his character was created with no social skills and so in that situation, he didn’t know what to do. But in the end, he did learn how to value the feelings of other people. He started to understand that his actions can effect the way people feel
From the villain side, I liked Claimer Joe. Charismatic, dangerous, scary.
Wdym people LOVE aaron and gabriel. They literally carried the final seasons with daryl. Ezekiel is underrated.
Noah and Beth. Noah had so much story to tell with his disability plus his clear intelligence and interest in architecture. He could’ve been a mainstay, rebuilding things all the way to the bridge arch, but instead they killed him off to throw in Nicholas just to kill HIM off the start of the next season.
Beth was just starting to actually get screen time and show that she was a solid character. She knew how to manipulate people and bide her time to strike when the moment’s right, but she wasn’t evil hearted. She was a survivor. It’s sad they killed her off just to give Maggie more things to be sad about. Even sadder that Maggie seemed to completely forget about her after making it to Alexandria
I'm still not over Noah's death
What was his disability?
He had a leg injury from when the hospital people hit his dad and him with a car. He walked/ran with a limp. I think there’s a lot to work with there writing wise in a world that pretty much relies on being able to move fast
Everyone saying Aaron? He’s become super popular lately
Toss up. Either Lori or Andrea.
Absolutely!!!!
Honestly... Dale. I loved him, it's a shame they killed him.
I swear every scene with Dale had him doing the surprised Pikachu face. That's probably the only thing noteworthy from his TV incarnation.
He had that
🤨
I dont know why I cant paste it or an add an image but heres the one
I would say Merle, people always used to look at me crazy when I said he was my favorite. but people have finally come around to liking his character looking back in nostalgia at the early seasons
Tyreese, and Milton the woodbury doctor
tyreese. the way he cared for judith and those little girls as if they were his own when everyone got separated from the prison. He could have dipped out on his own but he chose to stay and protect those girls.
Bob Stookey.
"Nightmares end. They shouldn't end who you are." -5x03
The Jesus character died too soon and sudden
Rosita Espinosa!
Yessir
Leon Basset
Aaron and Ezekiel for sure
Lance Hornsby as a villian
The man who cums when Pamela says hi to him
To be fair who wouldn't.
Real😓 Pamela is such a dommy mommy ngl
Laura, the blonde haired Savior chick with the barcode ink on her neck. She was pretty badass.
Morgan Jones
Michael Mercer
I was torn between him and Aaron.
Rosita, 1,000%!! She had so so many great qualities, but she was so underused on the show, and wayyyyyyy under appreciated!
Rosita fans, rise up!
Yassssss!!♥️♥️
I love Tyrese I can't stand Gabriel - he is unstable and he shows it over and over again I really liked Aaron until the Whisperer arc
Aaron is my second favourite character (Glenn being first) And then Tara my third
Tara. Super underrated
Wayne Dunlap
If that counts, I think the Nun from Daryl Dixon (Forgot her name already but y’all know who I’m talking about)
That lady who stayed behind at the cdc
Jacqueline?
Shit I thought her name was Florida
Idk I feel like the TWD community is actually pretty good at loving the characters that deserve to be loved. I mean T dog hasn’t existed since like season 2 or 3 but I always see people praising him.
Gabriel imo is overrated. People adore him season 9 onwards. And people rate Aaron fairly high too from season 9 onwards, imo though Aaron was best in season 5/6.
I'd say Lori is one of these, and Carol season 10 onwards got a lot of shit from the fans.
Lizzie as well was pretty great imo. And Maggie too, is too controversial.
Tara & Judith
Abraham, Sasha, Connie, Aaron, T-Dog, Jerry.
GLENN.
Hands down.
I know he’s loved, but not nearly as much as he deserves.
Gabriel was one of my favorite characters by the end of the show! His character development is amazing imo
Huck from World Beyond!
beth or tyreese
I'm in the minority but for me it's Bob.
Eugene. He literally got them to Alexandria with his lie. But then again, should they have gone to Alexandria? 😭 so many people died
I loved what they changed for Ezekiel from the comics. He continues to grow better and better as the seasons went on. LOVE how it ended for him 🥹🤩❤️ Even have a tattoo that says “And Yet I Smile”
Ezekiel? I could never fully warm up to Ezekiel, and I wanted to because he was such a decent guy. If I were wondering in the apocalypse I’d feel safer coming across him than most of the other main characters (Rick on a bad day? Yikes). But sometimes comics don’t translate to the screen and you’ve got to tone it down (like they did with The Governor) to make things more grounded in reality. In my view, you could have had “The Kindgom” with a leader who was colloquially referred to as “King,” but the Shakespearean English schtick was way too much. I also didn’t buy the explanation as to why he did it, along with all the lame pseudo-medieval trappings. The people of The Kingdom must have been real simpletons to buy into that fantasy. This isn’t Ren Fest — flesh eating zombies are eating brains on the other side of that wall.
Mr. Yo
Eugene had such an impact on the overall story yet gets overshadowed by the actions/consequences his story entailed. Lying to the group about going to DC essentially led them to the safe haven they were searching for after the prison (Alexandria) and his lying essentially ended the war against the saviors. His lying alone benefited the group immensely. Abraham would’ve been proud.
The governer
Def Rick
Andrea but comics
Andrea
Lori
Enid
Jim
I don't think i got invested in a character as much as i got invested in him. Fucking cried over his death, and his death only.
Tyreese 100%
aaron, ezekiel, and abraham
Idk i quite watching when they killed off Glenn like that and i loved loved loved the show! But that was incredibly devastating and i couldn’t watch it anymore. Just recently started to watch the new series with Rick though just to see if it would be anything worth watching. Afterall like i said i loved the show before that but it was just too much he didn’t deserve it and how graphic it was probably didnt help me accept it any better but yep. I guess therefore my opinion would be Glenn then. Although i had several favorites and of course Darryl was my ultimate favorite like everyone else but Glenn’s death was completely unnecessary. Anyone else stop watching at that point?
Noah 💯
Why's everyone saying Aaron? Dude was bland af.
Tyreese <3
Connie. She might be the most courageous character in the show. She's fearless, loyal and kind. She's beautiful. Shes a savage. She's arguably the most intelligent. She has the most positive energy. Connie has it all.
T-dog, best character carol wouldn’t be around without him
I agree
Dale all the way
Idk Abraham?
Hands down Aaron, I think Gabe got more love (both are excellent characters, and the best along with Rosita and obviously Darryl to end the series). Aaron and Gabe both had great character developments that turned them into legit leaders and badasses, Rick would be proud.
I think its morgan
Bob! Although he wasn't in for a huge amount of time, he always had such a positive vibe and was always so nice and happy and doesn't get the recognition he deserves
I’m not really sure how popular she is but maybe Maggie? Idk
Most people on here hate her so shes not to popular
WHAT!? Why?
They think shes annoying bc shes still upset about Glenn and bc she still hates negan, i personally like her tho
DUDE NEGAN MURDERED GLENN IN FROMT OF HER OF COURSE SHES STILL UPSET! That’s a stupid reason. I respect you tho.
Yeah i think its bs too🤷♀️ but tbh, almost all female characters are hated on here bc most twd fans are very sexist, and thanks!
True also yup
Arat. She was so cool. I obviously wish she hadn't died, but I also appreciate her death. It raised some good questions about redeemability, and how victims deserve to have a say in what happens to the people that victimized them, regardless of whether or not that person can come back from it on a personal level. Sure, Arat could grow and change, but those people could never get their family back.
Like, we can objectively look at her and say "give her a chance to be better," but would we honestly be okay with that if we were in the victim's shoes?
Father Gabriel is soooooo fucking underrated it’s actually bs. Dude had such a great character arc through the show, was such a badass by season 11, and basically led the series with Aaron and Daryl after Rick left. And Gabriel not opening his church doors at the start of the apocalypse to then opening the gates at the commonwealth in the series finale, so fucking greaaaaatttt. Gabe my man’s fr
Gabriel!! His character development is so interesting. He's gone from one of my least favorite characters to somewhere in my top 10.
I know I'll get hate for this. But Andrea. As annoying of a character she was at times. She always had nothing but the best intentions in mind. And she was never afraid to state how she truly felt. Everything she did was really out of the goodness of her heart. She was just annoying in that senses, and fans hated her for it.
Mr. YO!
Negan, he’s still hated by a big chunk of the fanbase because they can’t get over something that happened 7 years ago, or Kenny, he’s a very deep character and people pass him off as just a scizo
Rick Grimes
yeah, easily the least popular character in the show, hate how little screen time and development they gave him, he shoulda got his own spin off…
Not sure if it counts but I’m getting pretty tired of the big babies who still won’t let themselves enjoy Negan. Even Glenn probably forgave him from the afterlife long ago
Yall forgetting that Negan raped people
ALDEN!! Absolutely loved him and was crushed when he died.
Aarom for sure
