at first glance I thought this was him confronting Seth.
but from his expression it's pretty clearly Ellie's reaction to that.
Ehm this scene being in season 2 is big news.....
If they are doing the show in the same order as the game that would mean they are covering all of Part 2 in season 2? And with it only being 7 episodes that would be a huge mistake.
Or they are changing the order and are still splitting the games into multiple seasons.
All I know is Part 2 definitely feels like it needs at least 14 episodes because I'd argue Part 1 could have been fleshed out a bit better with a few more episodes as well.
I believe it’s been confirmed that Part II will be split into two seasons.
If I had to guess, Season 2 will cover up to the theater attack. Season 3 will fill in gaps and end where Part II ends.
Love this direction totally, split it right before the second half of the game. Leave season 3 for abby's main part and everything else.
I should’ve been clear, I think Season 2 will show Ellie AND Abby’s Day 1-3… ending with the climatic fight at the theater
I know that’s a whole lot of material for 7 episodes, but I don’t see any other natural point to end the season.
And to be honest, 7+ hours is a good amount of time to tell the story up to the theater attack
I could see that especially with how much you can fit into an hour with this story. Either Seattle theater or Day 1 Abby. Then season 3 will be Abby's redemption story.
Been feeling extremely and totally normal about this all day, mhm.
I'm just so worried. I already felt like the bond and ending in the end of season 1 didn't feel earned or developed enough between the two. I feel like this scene won't hit the same either because of that same reason.
I mean, take away the games. Pretend they don't exist, and it's just the show. I just don't care for Joel and Ellie the same way in the show, because that bond wasn't developed as well.
I feel it's the opposite, this seems to be a common grievance from people who played the games because we have that to compare the show to. Everyone I've spoken to who watched the show only loved the relationship and thought the pacing was perfect.
I'm the opposite, obviously not denying your experience lol, but in my experience my friends and family who only watched the show weren't pumped for the ending. They all said "is that it?" after it and said they don't feel why it was acting like it was a huge deal because they didn't really think Joel and Ellie were that close.
Different strokes for different folks and all that I guess but yeah.
No way there can do both Ellie’s & Abbie’s 1-3day in 7 episodes, that’s insane, it needs 2 be at least 14 episodes lmao
as painful as it it to know what happens, god damn pedro looks fineee
Low effort / low quality memes are banned
And I think we know what just happened in this scene. Pedro looks crestfallen.
