What's the best way to transport large items from farms?

(large amount of items from farms)

I have multiple farms and would like to transport all the items from them to a central storage (a few hundred blocks away. (only within render and sim dist sometimes so preferably able to be unloaded and loaded back smoothly) What's the best way to go about this? Hopper line, water streams, chest minecarts, or something else I missed?
