I feel like the only way it's wrong is he's just buying a bunch of different kinds of fish not knowing if they will get along with eachother and with the current fish. (I don't know much about saltwater)
His tank(inverts aside) has like 10 or so clownfish, a couple firefish, a baby parrotfish, one or two tangs, a foxface, and a bunch of baby sargent majors and pufferfish. Honestly not a bad fish combo but the sargent majors and parrotfish will get too big.
those fish are all fine together (and are broadly "beginner" fish for saltwater, too), saltwater ponds are cool as shit, OP doesn't know anything.
I don’t see the problem, what makes this shitty op?
I see these videos all over YouTube. It’s all overhyped clickbait garbage. These pretty boys found the only thing they’re good at, performing for the camera and millions of people love them for it.
Sounds like you are jealous, because that’s what someone who’s jealous would comment someone who’s not would keep scrolling. So maybe next time before criticizing people who you literally have no idea are, maybe you should reflect on why you are so mad at someone just trying to make a living doing what they like. Like seriously your comment reads like an incel wrote it.
🧂
I liked how he said it was a mystery box but, proceeded to use language that insinuated he picked them out.
Maybe it’s a mystery “unboxing” to the viewer/audience?
Yeah, at first I thought that was what’s wrong with it. Buying a mystery box of fish not knowing compatibility with your setup. But it definitely sounds like he picked them out.
Not sure if the mystery box line was a joke or if he just doesn’t really get the concept of a mystery box
There’s nothing here I can say for sure that is shitty about this
Have you ever been watching a fish keepers’s video and they get an awesome fish. But then you never see it again. When you ask them about it they ignore you. Hmm 🤨
Exactly they don’t respond to comments when half of their fish never show up again. Or they use their old tactic we released it
This is one of the reasons I really like Joey from KingofDIY YouTube. Any time he has had fish for just a short period of time he will explain why, usually it's because he is purchasing fish for friends and he has a large amount of Quarantine tanks to grow the fish out until they are cleared as being healthy or big enough to survive with other tank inhabitants. He has had a few mishaps with fish in the past but is very honest about what happened and uses his mistakes as a teaching moment to show others exactly what happened and where he went wrong. It also helps that his aquarium gallery has cameras running 24/7 so he almost always has footage of whatever mishap took place to go along with him explaining what happened.
Mystery box... " I never see these in the store so I had to buy him".
I think he forgot to pretend it was a "mystery" box and not just a delivery.
I mean it was still a mystery box to you and me 🤷
🤣🤷♂️ alright, I gotta give you that.
Well i was also concerned when i saw a video of that first but than i read a lot of ppls comments and they said this guy is caring and all that stuff. I dont know the name of the Dori fish but i know it grows big and needs a lot of space, they commentors that follow this dude since a while said he will propaply get that fish a bigger setup later. One that is acceptable for that fish species. It was a few ppl so i believe them lol
The pond?
It's not bad honestly. The only thing wrong with this guy's pond would be the parrotfish which can grow up to 20 inches. And the sargent majors. He has a bunch of them and they can be quire big as adults. Also keep in mind this is Florida where it's heck of a lot warmer.
I see what’s wrong. The pond is missing 3 additional oceans for the tang. 🚨🚨
There’s a lot of posts that don’t really belong on this sub it seems. Or if I’m wrong then y’all really need to explain what’s wrong in the post. Seems like a lot of y’all are just sensitive pansies.
Love watching people torture fish to show off how “pretty” they are
How is this torture?
I was exaggerating for the sake of a sarcastic joke but holding them out of water for unnecessarily long is still weird
Seen this before and its ok, he lives in florida so it makes more sense I just feel like you shouldnt just have a tidepool sitting in your backyard in florida...
Confused. How is it a mystery box if he knew & selected what he was buying?
The way he’s handling them makes me cringe so hard. Transport is already a very difficult time for fish and he’s grabbing them and holding them out of water for his stupid video. They’re literally just sitting in his hand because they have gone into extreme shock. A normal response when you take a fish out of water is for it to thrash around. You can see even when he puts them in water they barely move, also a sign that somethings wrong. I’d bet it’s 50/50 on whether these guys made it through acclimation.
They have larger ponds and aquariums for any fish that outgrow the current home.
I feel like I’d dislike that dude in the video. But saltwater pond sounds sweet.
How do you keep salinity stable when it down pours?
Gotta love how the most interesting thing he has to say about some of these fish is "they love to swim around". Like..... yeah that's kinda what fish do
Plot twist: this pond is in Maine
I do not know really anything about saltwater tropical fish, so can someone explain what’s wrong. I’d figure it would be fine to have a pond in a tropical climate. Is it incompatible stocking or will the fish get too large? The only thing I’d figure would be the “mystery box” aspect but after he introduced the fish it seemed more like it wasn’t a mystery box and individual species he ordered.
